Angie Smalis, Simon Thompson and Peter
Delaney take the poem ‘Terminus’ by Edith
Wharton. Using the clown character as the
narrator, the focus highlights emotional recall,
suggested by body movement and gesture He
also provides a story framework by setting the
piece in an abandoned and disused railway station.
The memories are portrayed through dance in an
abstract and free flowing sense. The sound-scape
and reoccurring melodic motif helping to unite the
character and his memory bringing them to life for
that fleeting moment before the memory fades, and
the day ends.
