Treatment<br />
• Primary y infection<br />
– Acyclovir 200 mg po 5x/d x 7-10 d<br />
– Valacyclovir 1 g po BID x 7-10 d<br />
• Recurrent episodes<br />
– Acyclovir 800 mg po 3x/d x 2 days<br />
– Valacyclovir 500 mg 2x/d x 3d<br />
• Suppressive therapy - >5 / yr<br />
– Valacyclovir 500 mg po QD<br />
– Acyclovir 400 mg po BID<br />
– Famciclovir 250 mg po BID
