MANE FACTS<br />

Hill loved the Dallas Cowboys because Emmitt Smith, Michael Irvin<br />

and Deion Sanders played the positions he couldn’t play growing up.<br />

As a kid, Hill enjoyed watching the TGIF line-up of Family Matters, Step<br />

By Step, and Full House.<br />

Hill will watch any movie with Denzel Washington in it.<br />

Before games, Hill likes to listen to Young Jeezy and Gucci Man.<br />

He is a big collector of hats and shoes. His favorite hat is his St. Louis<br />

Cardinals hat, and his favorite shoe is the Nike Air Force Ones.<br />

At Stillman, he and two college teammates were heroic in their eff orts<br />

to save a man from a burning house. The three Stillman players were<br />

driving by a house when they noticed a distressed woman who needed<br />

help. She told Hill and his teammates that her father was inside and<br />

they proceeded to rescue him from the burning building.<br />

PRO<br />

Hill is a good athlete with outstanding size and bulk and long arms that<br />

provides a large presence on the <strong>Lions</strong> defensive front. Quick and agile, he<br />

is stout at the point of attack.<br />

Has played 27 career games, recording 56 tackles (35 solo), 2.5 sacks<br />

and 3 fumble recoveries.<br />

In his fi rst pro season, he played 13 games (12 starts) at defensive<br />

tackle. He earned one of the team’s starting defensive tackle positions<br />

to start his rookie season.<br />

2010: Completed second season and was a signifi cant contributor as a<br />

back-up defensive tackle on the team’s stout defensive line rotation.<br />

Recorded career-high 30 tackles (21 solo) and had 2.5 sacks (18 yds) and<br />

1 fumble recovery.<br />

Recorded fi rst career sack for a loss of 8 yards in season opener at<br />

Chicago (9/12). Also added a tackle-for-loss, 2 quarterback hurries<br />

and a fumble recovery.<br />

Recorded 0.5 sack for a loss of 2 yards and a tackle vs. Philadelphia<br />

(9/19). Was injured in the fi rst quarter, but returned back to the line-up.<br />

Inactive at Green Bay (10/3) due to ankle injury he sustained at Minnesota<br />

(9/26).<br />

Returned to action in <strong>Lions</strong> 44-6 win vs. St. Louis (10/10) and had<br />

2 tackles.<br />

COLLEGE<br />

Was a four-year starter for the Tigers, and he set the school record with<br />

44.5 tackles for loss. During his freshman and sophomore seasons, he<br />

played defensive tackle and then was moved to defensive end for his fi nal<br />

two seasons at Stillman. Named fi rst-team All-SIAC in 2007 and 2008.<br />

In his second year (2008) at defensive end, he earned fi rst-team all SIAC<br />

honors. During his senior season, he played in 11 games and registered<br />

career highs with 59 tackles for loss, 15.5 sacks and 7.5 sacks.<br />

Scored on a two-point pass play.<br />

Knocked down seven passes and recorded three fumble recoveries.<br />

Was moved to defensive end as a junior in 2007 by new head coach<br />

Greg Thompson. In his fi rst season at defensive end, he was a fi rst-team<br />

all-SIAC selection a er collecting 52 tackles, 4.5 sacks and 14 tackles<br />

for loss. Also caused four fumbles.<br />

Took an interception back 38 yards for a touchdown a er dropping back<br />

into coverage as a giant middle linebacker.<br />

As a sophomore in 2006, he played in 10 games and garnered 41 tackles,<br />

two sacks and nine tackles for loss.<br />

In 2005, Following a red-shirt season, Hill was a defensive tackle and<br />

made a splash with 39 tackles, 3.5 sacks and six tackles for loss in the<br />

nine games he played.<br />

He also caught a pass as a tight end for a 16-yard touchdown.<br />

Graduated from West Blockton (Ala.) High School where he was selected<br />

all-Conference and All-area.<br />
