Did you know that:<br />
Golf can be good for your health and<br />
your heart. Walking an average course in<br />
pleasant surroundings for a round of golf<br />
can be as much as five kilometers. It can be<br />
played by people of all abilities and ages,<br />
either individually or in a group.<br />
Every athlete aims at knocking the ball with the club and succeeds in sending it to a<br />
number of holes with the minimum possible shots.<br />
The sport of Golf will be held at the Glyfada Golf Course “Konstantinos Karamanlis”.<br />
Athletes will be divided into groups of four (4) people. The categories for the <strong>Special</strong><br />
<strong>Olympics</strong> World Summer Games Athens 2011 will be set during the days of the<br />
games, depending on the abilities of each athlete.<br />
The Level 1 competition will take place on the Driving Range as well as on the two<br />
practice greens. The Level 1 Field of Play will also serve as the practice area for Levels<br />
2, 4 and 5. The Level 2, 4 and 5 Golf competitions will take place on the 18 holes<br />
Championship Golf Course which is Par 72.<br />
