strongly encourage Member States to<br />
nominate a minimum <strong>of</strong> twenty (20)<br />
percent female c<strong>and</strong>idates for each SAAT<br />
visit.<br />
Preference for deployment will be given to<br />
equally qualified female c<strong>and</strong>idates.<br />
Underst<strong>and</strong>ing <strong>of</strong> gender-related issues are<br />
evaluated during the interview (see 9.ii <strong>and</strong><br />

PCC are responsible to pre-screen<br />
c<strong>and</strong>idates ensuring they meet the minimum<br />
requirement as set forth in the SOP.<br />
PCCs are encouraged to conduct pre-SAAT<br />
exercises to prepare c<strong>and</strong>idates.<br />
One month prior to the SAAT visit a list <strong>of</strong><br />
<strong>of</strong> c<strong>and</strong>idates should be submitted to the<br />
DPKO Police Adviser. The list should<br />
specify each c<strong>and</strong>idates':<br />
• Full name;<br />
• Gender;<br />
• Date <strong>of</strong> Birth;<br />
• Number <strong>of</strong> a valid photo ID (same<br />
ID shall be used for identification<br />
during the SAAT visit);<br />
• Date <strong>of</strong> entry into service.<br />
No c<strong>and</strong>idates can be added to the list<br />
Validity <strong>of</strong> SAT results is 18 months from<br />
completion <strong>of</strong> assessment.<br />
If c<strong>and</strong>idate has served in a mission for more<br />
than 6 months no further assessment needed to<br />
be re-deployed if the time from departure from<br />
previous mission to induction in new mission<br />
does not exceed 18 months.<br />
The SAT conducts generic <strong>and</strong> mission specific<br />
briefings.<br />
Relevant material is shared with PCC<br />
authorities.<br />
Encourages PCCs to select <strong>and</strong> train qualified<br />
female police <strong>of</strong>ficers.<br />
PCC responsible to pre-select c<strong>and</strong>idates in<br />
accordance with each field missions'<br />
requirements, including ensure no record <strong>of</strong><br />
misconduct.<br />
A list with the number <strong>of</strong> c<strong>and</strong>idates should be<br />
sent to DPKO in advance <strong>of</strong> the SAT. List<br />
specifies c<strong>and</strong>idates':<br />
• Name;<br />
• Date <strong>of</strong> Birth;<br />
• Rank <strong>and</strong> National Police ID number;<br />
• Which mission the c<strong>and</strong>idate will<br />
possibly be deployed to.
