have been conceived. The training<br />

programmes are going on in Ludhiana.<br />

Plan to cover Jalandhar after that. It is<br />

proposed to conduct an impact study after<br />

100% coverage in four police stations <strong>of</strong><br />

Ludhiana.<br />

Current Position: The project is in PPP<br />

mode. FICCI initially agreed to set up five<br />

CCCs in Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu,<br />

Maharashtra, Haryana and Orissa. It<br />

<strong>of</strong>fered to set up another 100 CCCs within<br />

six months <strong>of</strong> the pilots. It, however, failed<br />

to find sponsors and has been able to tieup<br />

for only three CCCs so far. MoU has<br />

been signed with Maharashtra and Tamil<br />

Nadu and is under process with Delhi.<br />

Mumbai Police has declined to set-up<br />

Community Counseling Center on the<br />

ground that they are already running<br />

CCCs.<br />

No CCC is on ground so far. Since FICCI<br />

has failed to find sponsors MHA has<br />

agreed to fund the balance two pilots in the<br />

review meeting <strong>of</strong> NPM projects held at<br />

MHA on 13.01.2011.<br />

Funds have been sought for three CCCs in<br />

Orissa, Rajasthan and Haryana vide NPM<br />

letter No. 41/6/2009-NPM/BPR&D, dated
