Cafe Racer Takes
on Genuine
Scooter Line
Ypsilanti, Michigan – Cafe Racer Ypsilanti has
announced that they have taken on the full line of
Genuine Scooters. Since the company was first
launched, it has offered motorcycle service and repairs
on modern and vintage motorcycles as well as custommotorcycle
building but this is their first franchise.
“We weren’t actually planning to take on a
franchise,” said
spokeswoman Malisa
Hinderliter when
asked why they
decided to add
Genuine products to
their offering.
“Genuine’s President
and Midwest Regional
Manager approached
us, looking for a
company in the area
that would best represent the brand. After trying out
the scooters and learning more about the company, we
decided to take the plunge. We really like the product
and are excited to be selling Genuine scooters.”
Cafe Racer has been working on scooters for
years and had actually become a Genuine Authorized
Service Center last year. That work, and the test ride in
which Cafe Racer owner John Craddock and Ms.

the two that Genuine was
producing high-quality, fun
products that they would be
proud to sell and service.
The Ypsilanti
business will carry the full line
of Genuine scooters including the Stella, Blur
and Buddy in various displacements. They
currently have a limited quantity in stock, but
more are anticipated to arrive within the
month. They have a single demo model in stock
but expect to have other demo models available
for prospective customers to try in the near
future.
Cafe Racer is the primary sponsor and
organizer of the Annual Ton-Up Motorcycle
and Music Festival. They also sponsor the
Tuesday night bike nights in Depot Town and
sell Roos Roast, a locally roasted premium
coffee. One of their project bikes was featured
on Cafe Racer TV.
