Mich., became the recent bride of Airman<br />
2/c Harold D. R.uegamer, son of<br />
Engineer and Mrs. Everett Ruegamer of<br />
Three Forks.<br />
News was received recently in Deer<br />
Lodge that Edward Sears, who retired<br />
in 1943 as division master mechanic at that<br />
point, died in his home in Cassopolis,<br />
Mich., Feb. 3 after suffering a heart attack.<br />
He was 86 years of age. Mr. Sears<br />
was a veteran of 44 years of service, including<br />
28 years at Deer Lodge. Funeral<br />
and burial services were held in Cassopclis.<br />
His survivors include a daughter,<br />
Edith, a director of medical-social work<br />
at Passavant Hospital in Chicago.<br />

her acceptance notice and will start<br />
nurse's training in St. Elizabeth's school<br />
of nursing in September. She will be<br />
graduated from Leyden High School in<br />

Secretary Ellen Bonini's daughter,<br />
Estelle, has passed her entrance examination<br />
and will begin her "prep" training<br />
in Nazareth Academy in La Grange<br />
after her graduation from St. Bonaventure's<br />
SC!lOol.<br />
Retired Traveling Accountants John<br />
Clarke, now of Seattle, Wash., and John<br />
Buelting of Bartlett, Ill., extended personal<br />
greetings to their former co-workers<br />
when they visited the office Jan. 10.<br />
The stork visited the homes of two<br />
former keypunch operators from the supervisor<br />
of machine accounting office,<br />
leaving a baby boy named Daniel John<br />
at Carol Kelley's and a baby girl named<br />
Kimberly at Victoria Drain's.<br />
Gerald Goebel of the shop timekeeping<br />
bureau left Feb. 1 to report for military<br />
service at Langley Air Force Base in<br />
Texas.<br />
Edward Zegler of the paymaster's<br />
office became the proud father of a son<br />
recently. This is the Zeglers' first child<br />
and he was christened Douglas John.<br />
Congratulations were in order when<br />
Raymond Litke was appointed bureau<br />

Starting as a clerk at Iron Mountain, Mich.,<br />
Mr. Farley's service has been marked by<br />
steady advancement through accounting<br />
department positions, including division accountant,<br />
supervisor of the centra lized T&E<br />
timekeeping bureau, and chief time inspector.<br />
In 1947 he was granted a leave<br />
of absence to serve as an examiner for the<br />
National Railroad Adjustment Boord. He<br />
returned to the railroad and his present<br />
position in 1952.<br />

the assistant bureau head.<br />
Sympathy was extended to Rosemarie<br />
Curtin of the A.F.E. bureau on the death<br />
of her grandfather; to Jinuny Lynn of<br />

of his father; to Retired A.F.E. Clerk<br />
John Mooney whose son passed away,<br />
and to Edward Villella of the miscellaneous<br />
accounts receivable bureau on the<br />
death of his mother.<br />
Traveling Time Inspector S. J. Farley's<br />
daughter, Rosemary, recently presented<br />
him with his 11th grandchild.<br />
FREIGHT CLAIM DEPARTMENT<br />
Robert A. Schlueter, Correspondent<br />
Elmer Dancy, clerk, was in an automobile<br />
accident near Cairo, Ill., Feb. 1.<br />
Hospitalized with Elmer were his wife<br />
and young child. At this writing the<br />
entire family are doing well in spite of<br />
serious injuries.<br />
Walter Walsh, 57, formerly a clerk in<br />
the sales bureau, passed away Feb. 6.<br />
Walter started with the freight claim de<br />
'partment May 13, 1920 and on Jan. 26,<br />
1956 took a disability pension after a<br />
long illness. Interment was in All Saints<br />
Cemetery.<br />
Richard Timm has left us to join the<br />
data processing staff.<br />
Charlie La Rue and wife Judy announced<br />
the birth of a daughter, Cynthia<br />
Ann, Feb. 13.<br />
Lloyd Rugen recently moved into his<br />
new home near Glenview.<br />
Two new employes-James Maxim and<br />
James Slovacek-were recently welcomed<br />
to the office.<br />
