them with jerseys, uniforms, equipment and<br />
more...this offseason he served as a guest instructor<br />
at a free baseball clinic for kids ages<br />
6 to 16 at the Extra Innings training center in<br />
New York.<br />
ÊÊIn April 2011, Wade joined a large group of<br />
Tampa Bay Lightning players and local business<br />
leaders who shaved their heads for the<br />
Cut for a Cure campaign, a fundraiser benefitting<br />
the Pediatric Cancer Foundation in<br />
Tampa...had his head shaved atop the Rays<br />
dugout after a game...Lightning stars Vinny<br />
LeCavalier, Marty St. Louis, Ryan Malone,<br />
Teddy Purcell, Nate Thompson, Victor Hedman<br />
and Mike Smith also participated.<br />
ÊÊHe once shot and bagged a 6-foot, 300-pound<br />
black bear with a crossbow on a hunting trip<br />
in Toronto.<br />
ÊÊWade and his wife, Katelyn, have two dogs: a<br />
Yorkshire terrier named Abigail and a German<br />
Shepherd named Charlie, who joined the family<br />
last year.<br />

the AL...in 18 starts through July 22, averaged<br />
4.13 SO/9 IP (109-IP, 50-SO)...after that, however,<br />
averaged 6.60 SO/9 IP (75-IP, 55-SO) over<br />
his last 11 starts.<br />
