Alumni from the ’90s have formed a new alumni club
— one for those who have been residence hall staff.
Following a reunion of a group of Residence Life staff
alumni last year, Karrie Jackelen, '92, spearheaded the
club effort. “There was a lot of enthusiasm to get this
group together and to create an opportunity for the
group to stay connected over the years,” notes Jackelen.
The new club was formed when Jackelen and four
others petitioned the Association to start the club. Those
signing the petition along with Jackelen were: Justin
Cafourek, ’93; Corey Sjoquist, ’96 & ’03; Larsi Sondreal,
’93; and Kari Treadway, ’93.
The group’s first official meeting takes place at 4 p.m.
Saturday, Dec. 20, at the Courtyard by Marriott-Madison
East, 2502 Crossroads Drive, Madison. For more

1. The ________________________ Club does hereby apply for an Official Charter from the
University of Wisconsin-La Crosse Alumni Association.
2. We have a total of _______ alumni in the constituency served by our Club.
3. We now have ______ active members (must have at least five petitioning members).
4. We agree to:
a. Be bound by the constitution and bylaws of the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse Alumni Association as such Bylaws
relate to the organization and functions of this duly chartered club.
b. Adopt a constitution and bylaws subject to the approval of the board of directors of the University of Wisconsin-
La Crosse Alumni Association.
c. Elect or appoint one member of the group to the Board of the parent Association.
d. Hold at least one meeting each year.
e. Sponsor at least one project each year to promote the best interests of the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.
5. We further agree that failure on our part to properly discharge the requirements of being a chartered University of
Wisconsin-La Crosse Alumni Association Club may result in our charter being withdrawn at the request of the Association
Board. We retain the right to withdraw as a chartered club of the Association upon written request and by a majority vote of
our members at a regular meeting.
6. Five petitioning members of the Club listing their class years and current addresses must sign this application to be
considered for Official Club charter.
