VISIONING OF A COMMUNITY<br />

There are many visioning formats and ways to do community visioning. Below is a<br />

format adaptable for both communities and organizations that can take you from<br />

dreams to realities. There are many others.<br />

A simple way is to get people together and ask these simple questions:<br />

What does it look like?<br />

What are its characteristics?<br />

What are your dreams for your community?<br />

This is a simple and direct format that engages people<br />

immediately.<br />

Secure/safe Meaningful employment Cultural diversity<br />

Parks and trails Volunteerism Accessibility<br />

Recreational facilities Youth programs Clean<br />
