What is the HE <strong>in</strong> FE Enhancement Programme?<br />

Some examples <strong>of</strong> our activities.


Background to Enhancement Programme<br />

• Initially, a HEFCE funded project with a brief to<br />

provide support for HE <strong>in</strong> FE <strong>in</strong> England until July<br />

2007.<br />

• Now, although still funded by HEFCE and<br />

ma<strong>in</strong>ta<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g an English focus, part <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Academy</strong>’s<br />

core activities.<br />

• Subject Centres are funded to work <strong>in</strong> all regions


Key Objectives<br />

(<strong>of</strong> the HE <strong>in</strong> FE Enhancement Programme)<br />

• Provide an effective means for staff<br />

support<strong>in</strong>g HE <strong>in</strong> FECs to engage with the<br />

wider support <strong>in</strong>frastructure.<br />

• To share access to HE <strong>in</strong>formation and<br />

resources.
