“To Go Lost”
As a Palestinian who was born in other entity (Israel). My identity is being identied
from the existence of The Other. The other which forces me to double my eort as a
result from the continuous rejection as being the other, within a conict to conrm
the identity.
“To Go Lost” introduces a new subject matter into the Transculture (Identity) cycle.
The title itself refers to Journeys.
My Journey entitled “tar” which combines between the resistance of hegemony and
co-existence, as both are two vital strategies for living. In spite of the contradiction
between resistance and co-existence, the conict remains hidden and surfaces only
when imbalance results from the political, social and cultural clashes between the Palestinian
and Israeli societies. The Tar is full of eloquent honesty and calm condence.
Here the tar appears in silent scenes, with wide open confused eyes and an expressionless
face. The tar is detached from reality, embodying the notion that there is no
absolute reality in the world but dierent realities woven by imagination.
