“Losing Virginity”
How does it feel when a person loses his virginity? When the borders between
people brakes down and the walls are destroyed?
One of the best things which can happen to a human being is to know
the real face of the person who is standing in front of him.
Some people spend their life sharing the same bed with people and not
discovering their reality. Or at least they don’t know their best side or the
ugliest one.
When the borders are broken, when the truth appears and the mask of
the person you know, love and cherish falls; only in that moment we can
say that the virginity of this person got lost and only in this moment we
can say «I know this person».
Biography
My name is Bashir Qonqar, I was born in Beit Jala in 1980, (a small city in
the near of Bethlehem), when I was 8 years old my family and I had our
toughest experience ever when we had lost our father, such an experience
has changed our life.
From that moment we were exposed to the world, there was no childhood
anymore, no easy living just reality. That was the moment when the
world lost its virginity in our eyes.
The world became obvious and clear, things took its place, and that was
the start of my art.
Because of this experience I became what I am and the world what it is
in my eyes.
Thus, I›m always wondering should I be happy about it, or not!!!
