Porsche Design Studio was founded in Stuttgart in 1972 by
Ferdinand Alexander Porsche and relocated two years later
to Zell am See in Austria. Since its foundation, the products
designed there have won more than 120 national and international
design prizes and awards. In fall 2003, Ferdinand Alexander
Porsche and the other partners of Porsche Design collaborated
with Porsche AG in founding a new company, the Porsche Design
Group [ Porsche Lizenz- und Handelsgesellschaft mbH & Co. KG ],
the majority of which is owned by Porsche AG.
