Ana Correia is currently a political correspondent for Lusa, <strong>the</strong> Portuguese national news<br />
agency. Since 2010 she has been working daily at <strong>the</strong> Portuguese Parliament. Previously<br />
and also working for Lusa, she spent about three years covering Lisbon’s City Hall and<br />
writing stories on <strong>the</strong> Portuguese capital city. Toge<strong>the</strong>r with a fellow photographer Ms<br />
Ana Correia is presently collecting portraits and stories <strong>of</strong> gay and lesbian parents and<br />
<strong>the</strong>ir children (http://www.familiasaqui.com/). She is aiming that <strong>the</strong>se family photos will<br />
form an exhibition this year. Ms Ana Correia studied Journalism at <strong>the</strong> Universidade<br />
Nova de Lisboa. At <strong>the</strong> same time, she started working at her hometown local radio,<br />
where she did everything from cultural broadcasts to live coverage <strong>of</strong> roller hockey<br />
games and cycling events.<br />

Norberto Cuenca currently works for Enel’s Carbon Strategy Division - a unit managing<br />
Enel´s compliance obligations for CO2 emission under <strong>the</strong> EU Emission Trading Scheme-<br />
where he is responsible for Origination and CDM Investments. Mr. Cuenca also heads<br />
Enel’s representative <strong>of</strong>fice in Beijing. Prior to joining Enel, Cuenca developed his career in<br />
Beijing where he worked in both <strong>the</strong> public and private sectors for over six years. His<br />
assignments in China included <strong>the</strong> Commercial Section <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Spanish Embassy, <strong>the</strong> startup<br />
<strong>the</strong> first fully foreign invested wind farm developer in <strong>the</strong> country and o<strong>the</strong>r positions<br />
in <strong>the</strong> renewable energy and climate change sectors. Norberto Cuenca graduated in 2002<br />
with a double engineering degree from Ecole Centrale Paris and Politécnica de Madrid<br />

(Drejtesia ne Kosove) and TEMA - <strong>the</strong> first series <strong>of</strong> TV bridge debate programs focusing on<br />
<strong>the</strong> Dialogue process between Kosovo and Serbia transmitted in Kosovo, Serbia and o<strong>the</strong>r<br />
TV stations across <strong>the</strong> Balkan region. He is also <strong>the</strong> creator <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> only social media platform<br />
in Kosovo www.kallxo.com , which allows citizens to report cases <strong>of</strong> corruption,<br />

Ispahiu is known as a controversial, courageous and innovative <strong>the</strong>atre director. Faik holds a degree in<br />
TV, Film, Radio and Theatre Directing and has more than 16 years <strong>of</strong> experience on managing positions,<br />
supervision, training, supporting pr<strong>of</strong>essional journalism and development <strong>of</strong> free and independent<br />
media in Kosovo and <strong>the</strong> Balkan region.<br />

Jenny Kleeman is an award-winning British journalist, writer and documentary<br />
maker. A well-known face on Unreported World, Channel 4 Television’s criticallyacclaimed<br />
foreign affairs strand, Jenny has reported from across <strong>the</strong> developing<br />
world, from <strong>the</strong> Amazon rainforest to Liberia's slums, via Cambodia, Nigeria and<br />
Afghanistan. She has also presented Investigations for Channel 4’s Dispatches,<br />
BBC One’s The One Show and Explore for BBC Two. Jenny writes comment pieces<br />
and long-form features for <strong>the</strong> Guardian newspaper, as well as <strong>the</strong> Sunday Times,<br />

Mustafa Kutlay is a research fellow at International Strategic Research Organization<br />
(USAK), Centre for EU Studies, one <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> biggest think tanks in Turkey. His main<br />
research areas include international political economy, political economy <strong>of</strong> Europe,<br />
Turkey-EU relations, and Sou<strong>the</strong>rn Europe in world affairs (particularly Greece, and<br />
Cyprus question). Besides his active duty at USAK, he is also a research and teaching<br />
assistant at Koç University Department <strong>of</strong> International Relations. He is at <strong>the</strong> final stage<br />
<strong>of</strong> his PhD, and his dissertation focuses on <strong>the</strong> political economies <strong>of</strong> Greece and Turkey.<br />
Recently he his research has concentrated on <strong>the</strong> Eurozone crisis, Greek economic crisis,<br />
and <strong>the</strong> political economy <strong>of</strong> financial crisis, global power shifts and Turkey’s geopolitics.<br />
He received his MA and BA degrees at Middle East Technical University (METU) in<br />
Turkey.<br />
Monika Lenhard<br />

Monika Lenhard is currently a desk <strong>of</strong>ficer in <strong>the</strong> Personnel Development and<br />
Planning Division <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Federal Foreign Office in Berlin, and will be leaving <strong>the</strong><br />
<strong>German</strong> capital for her next foreign posting to Moscow in <strong>the</strong> summer <strong>of</strong> 2013. Her<br />
first assignment abroad was to <strong>the</strong> <strong>German</strong> Liaison Office in Pristina, Kosovo,<br />
where she was desk <strong>of</strong>ficer for cultural and press affairs. She subsequently served<br />
as <strong>the</strong> Chief Political Advisor to <strong>the</strong> Commander <strong>of</strong> NATO troops in Kosovo<br />
(KFOR). On returning to Berlin, she dealt with NATO issues in <strong>the</strong> Division for<br />
Defence and Security Policy <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Federal Foreign Office, and later on transferred<br />
to <strong>the</strong> Personnel Development and Planning Division. Ms. Lenhard completed her Master degree in<br />
Cultural History <strong>of</strong> Eastern and Central Europe and Modern History at <strong>the</strong> University <strong>of</strong> Bremen,<br />
spending semesters at St. Petersburg State University, Russia, as well as Warsaw State University,<br />
Poland. She speaks Russian fluently and is pr<strong>of</strong>icient in French, Albanian and Polish.<br />

facilitate human’s activity. Valentina graduated in Medical Biotechnology from <strong>the</strong><br />

applied to post-genomic biology. As <strong>the</strong> result <strong>of</strong> her multidisciplinary training, she led <strong>the</strong> BioMEMS<br />
unit at Techfab Srl working on <strong>the</strong> convergence between biotechnology and nanotechnology to design<br />
innovative system for cells analysis and powerful tools for drug testing. In 2010, she graduated from <strong>the</strong><br />
Singularity University at NASA Ames Research Park in California. The experience she had in Silicon<br />
Valley led up to <strong>the</strong> foundation <strong>of</strong> Axelera, a non- pr<strong>of</strong>it organization whose aim is to promote Italian<br />
technological innovation.<br />

Gregory Martin is a publisher <strong>of</strong> both French and foreign (in translation) nonfiction<br />
books for Editions Denoel, a subsidiary <strong>of</strong> Gallimard Group. The books he<br />
publishes are <strong>of</strong> general interest, he does mass-market books (mostly about current<br />
affairs) and upmarket essays (mostly historical narrative non-fiction). Seeing books<br />
as a tool to fulfill citizenship, he focuses as much as possible on books which may<br />
help to fight discriminations against minorities. The books he publishes also intend<br />
to decipher <strong>the</strong> American society for French readers (a good example is David<br />
McCullough’s The Greater Journey). M. Martin is also a pr<strong>of</strong>essional translator<br />
(from English to French)—his last published work is Bob Woodward’s Obama’s<br />
Wars. He has a post graduate diploma in book publishing and a Master’s Degree in contemporary French<br />

Jeton Mehmeti<br />

Jeton Mehmeti is currently Research Director at GAP Institute in Prishtina, Kosovo.<br />
GAP is one <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> leading think tanks in Kosovo, conducting research on political<br />
and socio-economic issues. At GAP he also writes policy papers on social issues. His<br />
research priority is higher education, unemployment, religion and media relations.<br />
In <strong>the</strong> last four years he has been <strong>the</strong> country author (Kosovo Chapter) <strong>of</strong> IREX’s<br />
Media Sustainability Index study. He has published a number <strong>of</strong> papers such as<br />
Employment Policies in Kosovo (Bulgaria 2012), Turkey’s socio-economic involvement in<br />
post-war Kosovo (Turkey 2012), <strong>the</strong> need for interfaith dialogue in Kosovo (USA 2012), etc.<br />
His first book “Tensions between freedom <strong>of</strong> expression and religious sensitivity”<br />
was published in <strong>German</strong>y in 2011. Jeton also teaches at <strong>the</strong> department <strong>of</strong> Journalism, University <strong>of</strong><br />
Prishtina. He completed his MA in Public Policy at Central European University (Budapest), and did a<br />
double major in Comparative Religion and Communication at International Islamic University Malaysia.<br />
Joanna Mackowiak-Pandera<br />

Joanna Mackowiak-Pandera is currently a management board member and <strong>the</strong> head <strong>of</strong><br />
market development department in <strong>the</strong> international energy company in Warsaw. Prior<br />
to this, she worked at <strong>the</strong> Polish Ministry <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Environment as deputy minister and<br />
earlier as <strong>the</strong> head <strong>of</strong> political cabinet <strong>of</strong> Minister Pr<strong>of</strong>. Maciej Nowicki. She was<br />
responsible among <strong>the</strong> o<strong>the</strong>rs for <strong>the</strong> development <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> programme and afterwards <strong>the</strong><br />
coordination <strong>of</strong> Polish Presidency in <strong>the</strong> European Council in <strong>the</strong> environment field. In<br />
2008 she completed <strong>the</strong> PhD – she compared <strong>German</strong> and Polish practical experiences in<br />
<strong>the</strong> environmental impact assessments and to developed good practice applicable in both<br />
countries. She spent 4 years in <strong>German</strong>y where she worked at <strong>the</strong> Federal Environmental<br />
Agency in Berlin and <strong>the</strong> Institute for Geoecology in Potsdam. Joanna is <strong>the</strong> member <strong>of</strong><br />
<strong>the</strong> Young Polish International Network and numerous associations and business<br />
organizations devoted to <strong>the</strong> sustainable development.

Luigi Pantisano is currently a Research Assistent at <strong>the</strong> Department <strong>of</strong> Urban and<br />
Regional Planning at <strong>the</strong> University <strong>of</strong> Stuttgart in <strong>German</strong>y. The main topic in his<br />
academic and doctoral research is „Migration in Urban Spaces“. In addition, he is<br />
responsible at <strong>the</strong> Department for <strong>the</strong> special Division „Planning in Rural Areas“. Luigi<br />
Pantisano applied to a University Degree with a second-chance education. He studied<br />
Architecture and Urban Planning. He plans to complete his Ph.D. at <strong>the</strong> University <strong>of</strong><br />
Stuttgart in 2015. Prior to his actual work Luigi Pantisano was a Neighbourhood<br />
Manager in a disadvantaged Neighbourhood in <strong>the</strong> City <strong>of</strong> Constance in <strong>German</strong>y. He<br />
was responsible for implementing urban planning and integration policy projects with<br />
public participation. He was <strong>the</strong> co-founder and board member <strong>of</strong> a newly created<br />
community association „Toge<strong>the</strong>r in Constance“ and he is actually working for <strong>the</strong> association as an<br />
Community Organizer. Trough projects like „Urban Gardening“ he helps migrants to have a part in <strong>the</strong><br />
<strong>German</strong> Society.<br />
Roxana Teodorcic<br />

Roxana Teodorcic is currently Deputy Chief <strong>of</strong> Party <strong>of</strong> FHI 360 implemented<br />
Moldova Civil Society Streng<strong>the</strong>ning Program. Roxana has joined <strong>the</strong> program<br />
in 2010, as Communications and Monitoring and Evaluation Manager. She led<br />
<strong>the</strong> implementation <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> nationwide CSO Visibility Campaign “Get to know<br />
<strong>the</strong> NGO that represents you” and brought more than 70 organizations closer<br />
to <strong>the</strong>ir constituents and consolidated <strong>the</strong> capacity <strong>of</strong> more than 100 NGOs,<br />
particularly to better communicate <strong>the</strong>ir activities to journalists and use massmedia<br />
more effectively in promoting <strong>the</strong>ir programs. Prior to this she was in <strong>the</strong> position <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Media<br />
Manager with IREX. Teodorcic provided assistance to a network <strong>of</strong> independent local TV stations to<br />
increase news and informational programming by producing quality products. She is one <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> reporters<br />
<strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Mapping Digital Media: Moldova report, published by <strong>the</strong> Open Society Foundations on February<br />
2012.

Işık Tüzün is <strong>the</strong> Deputy Coordinator <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Education Reform Initiative (ERI) and her<br />
main interests include right to and rights in education, bilingualism, religion and<br />
education, gender equality in education, and inclusive education. She is <strong>the</strong> editor <strong>of</strong><br />
“Right to and Rights in Education: An Evaluation <strong>of</strong> National Legislation in Light <strong>of</strong><br />
International Human Rights Documents” published by ERI in 2009, and has a<br />
forthcoming article titled “Disaggregation for Inclusion” prepared for KulturKontakt,<br />
Austria’s “Edition II”. Işık holds a Master's degree in Development Studies from <strong>the</strong><br />
International Institute <strong>of</strong> Social Studies <strong>of</strong> Erasmus University Rotterdam (ISS), located<br />
in The Hague. During her graduate studies at ISS, she majored in Politics <strong>of</strong> Alternative<br />
Development and minored in Poverty Studies. During her undergraduate studies at Koç University, she<br />
spent a year in Columbus as an exchange student at <strong>the</strong> Political Science Department <strong>of</strong> Ohio State<br />
University.<br />
Milos Velimirovic<br />
Belgrade, Serbia<br />
Milos Velimirovic is currently <strong>the</strong> Head <strong>of</strong> Public finance Department in Hypo Alpe-<br />
Adria-Bank ad, in Belgrade, Serbia. He is also member <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Assembly in <strong>the</strong> Central<br />
Depository and Clearing House. Milos is also member <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Mayor <strong>of</strong> Belgrade<br />
Investment Council. Before engagement in <strong>the</strong> financial sector, he gained experience in<br />
public sector, in institutions with different competencies at both <strong>the</strong> state and local levels.<br />
He served as Advisor in <strong>the</strong> Legal Department in <strong>the</strong> President <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Republic People’s<br />
Office and Advisor to <strong>the</strong> President <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Municipality Savski venac, Belgrade. Parallel<br />
with his pr<strong>of</strong>essional engagement, he has been politically active in <strong>the</strong> Democratic Party<br />
for over twelve years, during which he has held numerous positions. Currently he serves<br />
as President <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> branch Savski venac and as a member <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> National Committee. Mr.<br />
Velimirovic has a Masters from <strong>the</strong> Faculty <strong>of</strong> Law, University <strong>of</strong> Belgrade, as well as a diploma in<br />
financial strategy from <strong>the</strong> Said Business School at Oxford University. Currently he is a PhD student<br />
focusing on research in <strong>the</strong> areas <strong>of</strong> law and economy. His main academic interests are: politics,<br />
economics, law and security policy.
