Masako’s Green Chili
Ingredients:
Curry
1. Leftover Green Chili Stew
2. A box of Golden Curry……….or
equivalent (here: Golden Curry, made
by S&B Foods)
3. Japanese Rice
The Curry mix comes in little packets like
this.
You already have the Green Chilies in the
leftover Stew so you just mix in the little
packet.
Stir it in on a medium fire.
To me, White Rice is just Rice but the
Japanese are very fussy about Rice. Masako
usually buys Tamaki which comes from
California. This thing is a Zojirushi Rice
Cooker and Steamer (Zo=Elephant-象) and I
would never try to cook Japanese Rice
without something like this
one…………Masako would beat me
senseless. We often go to Sushi Bars and if
the rice isn’t just right, we leave and never
go back. Of course, you can get theses
things at Asian stores but they are pretty
common these days.
So you cook some Rice.
Dump on the Curried Green Chili Stew and
Padonk!
いただきます (Itadakimasu)!
