Section 4: Award Administrative Information<br />
I. Grant Award<br />
A. Upon approval <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> application, <strong>the</strong> grant will be awarded to <strong>the</strong> applicant. A Notice <strong>of</strong> Grant Award<br />
is mailed to <strong>the</strong> address <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Grant Performance <strong>Office</strong>r <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> grantee.<br />
B. Carefully read <strong>the</strong> award and any special conditions or o<strong>the</strong>r attachments.<br />
If you agree with <strong>the</strong> terms and conditions, <strong>the</strong> Authorized Official (see Section , Paragraph I.B. )<br />
should sign and date both <strong>the</strong> original and <strong>the</strong> copy <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Notice <strong>of</strong> Grant Award. You should maintain<br />
a copy and return <strong>the</strong> original signed documents to GDEM at:<br />

If you do not agree with <strong>the</strong> terms and conditions, contact <strong>the</strong> awarding program manager as noted<br />
in <strong>the</strong> award package.<br />
The Notice <strong>of</strong> Grant Award is only an <strong>of</strong>fer until <strong>the</strong> grantee returns <strong>the</strong> signed original <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Notice<br />
<strong>of</strong> Grant Award by <strong>the</strong> date provided in <strong>the</strong> transmittal letter.<br />
C. Read Guidelines<br />
Read and become familiar with <strong>the</strong> <strong>Border</strong> <strong>Security</strong> Equipment and Technology (BSET) Grant<br />
Guidelines.<br />
D. <strong>Report</strong>ing Requirements<br />
<strong>Report</strong>ing requirements must be met during <strong>the</strong> life <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> grant.<br />
E. Questions about your award?<br />
Questions regarding your grant should be directed to <strong>the</strong> GDEM staff listed in <strong>the</strong> GDEM Points <strong>of</strong><br />
Contact found in Section 8 <strong>of</strong> this Guide.<br />
F. The award documentation constitutes <strong>the</strong> operative documents obligating and reserving funds for<br />
use by <strong>the</strong> Grantee in execution <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> program or project covered by <strong>the</strong> award. Such obligation may<br />
be terminated without fur<strong>the</strong>r cause if <strong>the</strong> Grantee’s authorized <strong>of</strong>ficial fails to properly accept <strong>the</strong><br />
Grant Award within 45 calendar days <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> date upon which GDEM issues <strong>the</strong> Grant Award. GDEM<br />
may extend this deadline upon written request from <strong>the</strong> applicant. No funds will be disbursed to <strong>the</strong><br />
Grantee until <strong>the</strong> Grantee has properly accepted <strong>the</strong> grant.<br />
