characterized by wheals surrounded by a red halo or<br />

flare.<br />

<strong>Urticaria</strong> is classified as acute or chronic. Acute urticaria<br />

is defined as periodic outbreaks of urticarial lesions that<br />

resolve within six weeks.<br />
