Carolinas PGA to Host Family Golf Day Weekend, July 28-29
More than 200 Carolinas PGA Facilities to offer fun family programs along with an opportunity to win a pair of
94 th PGA Championship Practice Round Tickets at The Ocean Course at Kiawah Island
Browns Summit, N.C. (July 19, 2012) – PGA Professionals in North and South Carolina are gearing up for the 94 th
PGA Championship, held Aug. 6-12 at the Ocean Course at Kiawah Island. To celebrate being the host PGA Section of
the 2012 PGA Championship, more than 200 of the Carolinas PGA Section facilities are offering free and affordable
family golf programs designed for families to learn and play golf together during the weekend of July 28-29.
Some of the promotions hosted by facilities include Family Golf Clinics (1-3 hour program for families), Bring Your Child
to the Course, Family Golf Scramble Tournaments, and Kids Play Free (with paying adult). To see a list of participating

Each participating facility will be giving away a pair of 94 th PGA Championship practice round tickets to one lucky

Established in 1923, and recognized by The PGA of America in 1940, the Carolinas PGA Section of the Professional
Golfers’ Association has grown to be the largest of the PGA’s forty-one sections with almost 2,000 professional
