On Saturday, February 11th , some <strong>of</strong> us from the club had an<br />
opportunity to view, sit-in and ride-in the new 2012 <strong>Porsche</strong> 911<br />
Carrera S (991) at the <strong>Porsche</strong> Santa Barbara open house. Thanks<br />
to Walt Branscome and other members <strong>of</strong> the sales team who<br />
spent time talking to and driving members <strong>of</strong> the Santa Barbara<br />
and <strong>California</strong> <strong>Central</strong> <strong>Coast</strong> regions <strong>of</strong> PCA most <strong>of</strong> the morning<br />
and afternoon. Even though I did not have the opportunity to<br />
actually ride in the 991, just sitting in the driver’s seat was quite<br />
an experience. I have heard both the pros and cons, and as I have<br />
mentioned before, for me, it is one <strong>of</strong> the nicest <strong>Porsche</strong>s yet.<br />
You will notice in the newsletter that there are many club events<br />
coming up that will need volunteers to help. Make sure that you<br />
put them on your calendar.<br />
