A b o u t t h e T r u s t
Parul Trust is a widely known Education Conglomerate not only in the state of Gujarat, but now
commands a nation-wide awareness. In a short span of 15 years, it has exponentially grown from just
one institute providing Homeopathic Medical Studies, to more than 15 institutes providing world-class
professional courses ranging from Architecture and Engineering to Management. In the state of
Gujarat, Parul was the pioneer in starting the Self Financed Institute (SFI) model of education way back
in the nineties. The history of this modern day 'Gurukulam-par-excellence', however has a humble
beginning.
It was established as 'Parul Arogya Seva Mandal' in the year 1989 with an aim to serve the poor and
needy by providing them good education, medical facilities and employment. With these three goals in
view, the mission of achieving the same spread to different parts of Gujarat by way of charitable / free
OPDs, hospitals and educational institutes. Apart from these, the Trust has created awareness in
preventing HIV and AIDS in the society. It also has conducted workshops at the grassroot level for
family planning, educating the public of the menace of population explosion. The founder of the Trust, Dr.
JAYESHBHAI PATEL, a renowned Homoeopath himself is known for his compassion for the poor and
needy. He set himself on the mission to eradicate the malnourishment of the mind and body of the
society. To accomplish this, it was necessary to educate the common man to the perils of ill-health and
unemployment.
To achieve this goal, the Trust started medical and paramedical courses along with engineering and
management programmes. The Trust gives out several scholarships every year to the poor and
meritorious students encouraging more and more underprivileged people to take education. The focus
is also on contributing towards improving the quality of life of the society.

Education is essential for social, political & economic
development of a nation. Education is about constant
change, about unhesitatingly trashing theories that do not
work and evolving new ones that better fit on new circumstances. Keeping
this as one of the objectives in mind, the 'Parul Arogya Seva Mandal' was
established with committed persons as the trustees and their concerted
efforts resulted in establishing educational institutions, hospitals and other
institutions which facilitate empowerment of the poor and needy.
The vision of India becoming a global knowledge power requires a world
class education system working at a scale that would convert India's huge
youth population into a highly educated asset. It is time for bold thinking
and radical reforms in higher education.
Dr. JK Patel Institute of Management was conceived by Parul Arogya Seva
Mandal as an initiative to bridge the gap between textbook education and
the business world . The initiative is backed by deep sense of commitment to
reach the pinnacle of professional excellence and delivering value.
To survive in a highly competitive business world, managers are required to
improve quality, increase productivity and eliminate inefficiency thereby
meeting the challenges thrown up by the global economy.
