A b o u t t h e T r u s t 

Parul Trust is a widely known Education Conglomerate not only in the state of Gujarat, but now 

commands a nation-wide awareness. In a short span of 15 years, it has exponentially grown from just 

one institute providing Homeopathic Medical Studies, to more than 15 institutes providing world-class 

professional courses ranging from Architecture and Engineering to Management. In the state of 

Gujarat, Parul was the pioneer in starting the Self Financed Institute (SFI) model of education way back 

in the nineties. The history of this modern day 'Gurukulam-par-excellence', however has a humble 

beginning. 

It was established as 'Parul Arogya Seva Mandal' in the year 1989 with an aim to serve the poor and 

needy by providing them good education, medical facilities and employment. With these three goals in 

view, the mission of achieving the same spread to different parts of Gujarat by way of charitable / free 

OPDs, hospitals and educational institutes. Apart from these, the Trust has created awareness in 

preventing HIV and AIDS in the society. It also has conducted workshops at the grassroot level for 

family planning, educating the public of the menace of population explosion. The founder of the Trust, Dr. 

JAYESHBHAI PATEL, a renowned Homoeopath himself is known for his compassion for the poor and 

needy. He set himself on the mission to eradicate the malnourishment of the mind and body of the 

society. To accomplish this, it was necessary to educate the common man to the perils of ill-health and 

unemployment. 

To achieve this goal, the Trust started medical and paramedical courses along with engineering and 

management programmes. The Trust gives out several scholarships every year to the poor and 

meritorious students encouraging more and more underprivileged people to take education. The focus 

is also on contributing towards improving the quality of life of the society.

computing labs with high speed internet access. The 

labs are monitored continuously by the on-site

Larsen & Toubro Company Ltd. and Nirma University. 

He has also worked as Systems Administrator at an MIS lab, Thumel Business 

School, University of Baltimore. 

Starting his career with Corps of Engineers, Indian Army , Prof. Bandyopadhyay 

has served the nation as Major. His role ranged from a being an Engineer Manager 

and a Regimental Officer in the infrastructure sector. He has worked under Dr. A.P. J 

Abdul Kalam at Research Centre Imaraat , DRDO(Defence Research & Development 

Organization) Hyderabad in the Integrated Guided Misiles Development 

Programme (IGMDP). He has been recipient of Gold Medal from President of India for 

standing first in the order of Merit at National Defence Academy Poona. He has 

received several other awards of merit for outstanding performances throughout his 

career.

Standards for Quality Management Systems. He has completed his 

doctoral thesis titled "An empirical study to assess the extent of 

Investors' Protection in M.P.". He has also undergone ERP training in 

SAP/R3 finance Module (FI/CO) from Sneha ERP Technologies, 

Hyderabad. His area of interest is Financial Derivatives & Risk Management with 

special focus on Option Strategies. Prior to joining Dr. J.K. Patel Institute of 

Management, Dr. Chatterjee was Director, Training & Research in Kunvarji Investment

Associate Professor 

Mr. Deepak Gaywala is a Fellow member of the Institute of Chartered 

Accountants of India and the Institute of Company Secretaries of 

India. He is a post graduate in Commerce (M.COM) from 

M.S.University, Baroda. He also holds bachelor degree in Law (LLB- 

GEN) from M.S.University, Baroda. 

Started career with Jaymal Thakore & Co, Chartered Accountants, 

Ahmedabad as an audit assistant in the year 1980 and then moved in 

1981 to companies of repute Viz. Advance Construction Co. Private Limited and 

affiliated group companies, Gujarat Communications & Electronics Limited, 

Hindustan Packaging Company Limited, Indian Petrochemicals Corporation Limited 

where he worked in various capacities till 1992. During this period, he had undergone 

in-house Supervisory effectiveness programme and Management Development 

programme and attended conferences, seminars and business meetings for these 

companies. 

From 1993-1996, he was associated with C.C.Chokshi Co, Chartered 

Accountants, 

Baroda where professional assignments in audit and taxation were handled 

independently with the support from seniors in the Profession and staff of the Firm. 

From 1996-1999, he held position as Financial Controller and Company Secretary 

with Bil Metal Industries Limited, D.Baroda to handle Group's Finance, Secretarial and 

Taxation functions. 

Joined an academic institution SEMCOM at Vallabh Vidyanagar in the year 1999 to 

impart teaching to undergraduate students of BCOM/BBA(GEN)/BBA(ITM) streams in

Before joining Dr. J.K. Patel Institute of Management as an Associate Professor, Prof.

Sweta Nazareth 

Lecturer 

Prof. Sweta Nazareth is an MBA in Marketing (Gold Medalist) from 

Faculty of Management Studies, M.S.University. Her area of interest 

is Sales Management with focus on Corporate Sales and 

International Marketing. 

Prof. Nazareth started her career in 2003 with a U.K. based software 

company Windowmakers Software Ltd. As an International 

Marketing Communication Executive and then joined Tata 

Teleservices Ltd. As Sr. Executive (Corporate Sales). After gaining experience in the 

industrial field, she plunged into the academic world and joined Dr. J.K.Patel Institute 

of Management in February 2009. 

Prof. Nazareth has done project work for companies like Idea Cellular Ltd. (Churn 

Analysis) and Gujarat Co-operative Milk Marketing Federation. 

Ms. Richa Gupta 

Faculty-HR 

Ms. Richa Gupta, a Computer Engineering Graduate from Gujarat 

University is a Faculty for Human Resource Management. Ms. 

Gupta, a Post Graduate in Business Administration with Human 

Resource Management as specialization, was a meritorious student 

throughout her academic pursuit. 

Her areas of interest are Talent Management and Compensation 

and Reward Management. She has presented numerous research 

papers at institutes of national and international repute including that of IIM- 

Ahmedabad and IIT-Roorkee and so on.

NITIN PATEL Faculty 

Nitin Patel is an MBA (Finance) from Sardar Patel University, Vallabh 

Vidyanagar, Gujarat. He possesses overall 11+ years of industry 

experience in different areas of management. His area of interest is 

Financial Analysis, Security Analysis and Financial Services. 

Prior to joining Dr. J.K. Patel Institute of Management, Nitin Patel 

worked for four years as Sr. Analyst with SNL Financial - an 

Ahmedabad based Financial Technology Company. He was engaged 

in the activities of company analysis, peer analysis and industry 

analysis mainly for FIG (Financial Institution Group) sector. He was also involved in the 

financial analysis as per customer request using Excel - VBA environment. 

He has exposure of 4 years in marketing of IT services for Gujarat Region and he has 

also undergone training on SAP (Sales and Distribution Module). 

He also possess 1.5 year of experience as a Client Servicing Professional with a 

Vadodara based ad agency. He has worked as an Engineer (Electrical) for 1.5 years

VIJAYANTI TIKYANI Faculty 

Miss Vijayanti Tikyani faculty of Human Resource Management in Dr. 

J.K. Patel Institute of Management has completed her Post Graduation 

in Business Administration with Human Resource Management as 

specialization from Gujarat University. Her areas of interest are 

developing HR strategies for HR intensive Service Industries. She is 

presently undertaking research in the area of HR strategy formulation 

for BPO service sector. 

She has completed her Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering 

from S.P. University. She has all-embracing corporate experiences in various industries
