CAREERS AT MARIBYRNONG COLLEGE<br />

Year 10 Work Experience 2010<br />

The dates for this year’s Work Experience are: 15th –25th June.<br />

Students are expected to organize their placements ASAP! When they have confirmed their<br />

placements they must see Ms Butera in the Careers Resource Centre in order to finalize their<br />

Work Experience Arrangements. Students experiencing difficulty with finding placements<br />

please seek assistance from Ms Butera, before school, lunchtimes and after school.<br />

A New Career Resource Centre for Students at <strong>Maribyrnong</strong><br />

Room A4 is now the new career resource centre in the VCE block. All students are welcome to come and browse<br />

the many resources available. Personal assistance is provided with writing resumes, cover letters and preparing for<br />

interview. There is a computer for accessing & exploring careers online. I look forward to seeing students making use<br />

of this new facility<br />

Will run on Wednesday March 10, from 6pm to 9pm - this is the first public event to be held at Melbourne’s new<br />

state-of-the art Media House - the new home for Fairfax Media’s Melbourne operations. Panel members include: The<br />

Sunday Age Fashion Editor, Rachel Wells; Michi Girl Founder, Chloe Quigley; Freelance Stylist and Contributing Fashion<br />

Editor - The Age Melbourne Magazine, Kate Gaskin; while Melbourne Editor of Vogue Australia, Anthea O’Connor, will<br />

host the evening.<br />
