AOC’s new LCD TV line-up with LED technology:
attractive design plus high contrast
Berlin, 23 June 2010 – Brand supplier AOC extends its TV product
line-up with the new “Addara” series. The three models with screen
sizes of 47 cm/18.5”, 54.6 cm/21.5” and 60 cm/23.6” combine design,
quality and environmental friendliness. Their ultra-slim design makes
sure they fit perfectly into modern home environments. Energy-saving
LED backlighting guarantees excellent contrast and deepest black.
Launching its first TV set as early as 1934 under the “Admiral” brand, AOC,
a globally leading manufacturer of displays, looks back onto more than
three-quarters of a century’s experience in the TV market.
Latest technology plus LED backlighting
With a profile of less than 4.0cm and a piano black finish, these HD models
are the epitome of elegance. Inside, they sport state-of-the-art, perfectly
matched TV technology. The energy-saving LED backlights not only enable
a more compact design, they also ensure a balanced brightness
distribution, natural colour reproduction, impressively contrast-rich images
as well as deep blacks.
Complete connectivity
Thanks to their numerous inputs the Addara models are the ideal
multimedia centres for versatile home entertainment. HDMI ports connect
Blu-ray players, audio systems or games consoles to the TV for an
enjoyable audio and video experience in supreme quality. Digital cameras
and camcorders can easily be hooked up to the USB Cinema interface
(USB 2.0).

Amazing sound quality
The Virtual Surround Sound delivers an incredibly intensive surround
experience through its sophisticated sound process engine.
Environment
There are several advantages in using LED backlights. Next to delivering
an impressive image quality, they also boast green credentials: a mercuryfree
manufacturing process and a power consumption of 40 per cent less
than normal TVs. Already economical when switched on, these models
consume less than one watt when in stand-by mode.
The attractively priced Addara models will go on sale at the end of June;
price recommendations are:
