The reservation specified for the DT-A, NT-B, NT-C and NT-D shall be intertransferable.
If suitable candidates for the post reserved for DT-A, NT-B, NT-C and
NT-D are not available, the post shall be filled by suitable candidate from any of the
other categories amongst DT-A, NT-B, NT-C and NT-D in the same order and on
merit, as per prevailing Govt. orders.
There shall be 30olo reservation for women (Only candidates domiciled in
Maharashtra and who do not belong to creamy layer category) in all social
categories as per the provision of Govt. of Maharashtra Resolution No.
82/2001/MSA-2000/CR 415/K-2, dated 25ft May, 2001. The women candidates
who desire to avail benefit of women reservation including candidates from open
category should submit latest/current year Non Creamy Layer Certificate from
the Competent Authority of Govt. of Maharashtra. Woman candidate shall submit
copy of Gazette along with application form in case of change in her name.
For claiming the benefit of sports/caste reservation, candidates should submit
attested copy of sports certificate, caste certificate, caste validity certificate (if
available) and certificate of domicile of Govt. of Maharashtra issued by the
competent authority of Govt. of Maharashtra. If candidate fails to submit the
caste certificate along with application, he/she will be treated from open
category.

4. Etigibility criteria:
4.1. A candidate must be a citizen of India and domicile of Maharashtra for last continuous
15 years.
4.2. T\e candidate should have adequate knowledge to understand, read, write and speak in
Marathi.
4.3. The candidate, if married, should have small family as defined under Matrarashtra Civil
Services Rule, 2005, notification dated 28ft May, 2005. Candidate shall submit self
attested copy of the notaized affidavit to that effect, along with application.
4.4. As per the Government Resolution of General Administration Department of Govt. of
Maharashtra bearing No. MKC-1007/C.R.36lDesk 36, dated 10ft July 2008, the candidates
having Marathi as their mother tongue and who are native of 865 villages on Maharashtra-
Karnataka border area, on which Govt. of Maharashtra has made a claim to be a part of
Maharashtra State are also entitled to apply for the post. However, they will have to submit
Domicile Certificate of the competent authority in prescribed format, to the effect that they are
domicile of one of these villages for the past l5 year.
4.5. Educational qualification :
4.5.1. Candidate must possess a degree in science or a diploma in chemical technology
or mechanical or electrical or chemical engineering or electronic or textile or
leather or automobile, metallurgy, telecommunication or radio Engineering of an
university / institute or any other qualification equivalent thereto, as recognized
by Govemment.

4.5.2. Preference is given to the candidates possessing a degree in engineering in any
subject mentioned in 4.5.1 above i.e. B.Sc. and diploma holders will be at par.
Degree holders and above will be rated higher as at 8.1.
4.6. Age limit:
4.6.1. Age: Not less than 18 years and not more than 33 years as on I't July,20l3.
4.6.2. The age limit is relaxed in following cases:
4.6.2.1. Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for the candidate belonging to
backward classes.
4.6.2.2. The condition of upper age limit is not applicable to the employees of
Government of Maharashtra.
4.6.2.3. In case of following candidates the upper age limit will be 45 years-
4.6.2.3.1. Physicallychallenged,

4.6.2.4. In case of following candidates the upper age limit is relaxable by 5
yeafs.
4.6.2.4.1. Wards of ex- servicemen
4.6.2.4.2. Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for the candidates applying
against sports quota in ptrsuance of G.R No. Rajya Krida
Dhoran-2002Atro. 68/KRI.U.SE-2 dated 30.04.2005 issued by
Department of School Education and Sports, Govt. of
Maharashtra, subject to production of certificate showing that
they do not belong to "creamy layer" category issued by the
appropriate competent authority in case of extra-meritorious
sports person.
4.6.2.5. In case of ex-servicemen the upper age limit is relaxable by number of
qualiffing service plus three years.
4.6.2.6. Age limit is relaxed up to 46 years in respect of educated unemployed
who have completed 3 years of part-time employment under the scheme
implemented by Employment and Self Employment Deparhnent, Govt.
of Maharashtra.
5. The prescribed educational qualifications are the minimum required qualification and a mere
possession of the minimum qualification does not entitle the candidate to be called for
interview.

special categories i.e. ex-servicemen, physically challenged, etc. duly attested by
gazette officer and demand draft in respect of application fee along with application
form.
7.3.The duly filled application form, admit card, and a set of documents at7.2 above shall
be put in an envelope of good quality of appropriate size addressed to the concerned
General Manager, District Industries Centre and shall super scribe in bold letters as
"Application for the post of the INDUSTRIES INSPECTOR (LOWER GRADE) /
EXTENSION OFFICER (INDUSTRIES), Group-C" on it.
7.4. The aforesaid envelope shall be submitted by post or in person at District Industries
Centers of respective districts (As in ANNEXURE) in working hours from 04/0312013
to 2510312013. Request for change/correction in any particulars in the application form
shall not be entertained under any circumstances.
7.5. Incomplete application form and application received after last date of submission of
application shall stand rejected.
8. Selection Procedure:
8.1. There shall be a wriffen examination for 200 marks and interview for 20 marks
and 05 marks for preference to degree holders in engineering and post graduation
in science. Preferential degree marks will be as follows; (Out of 05 Marks)
a. I marks - Normal degree in science / diploma in engineering (see 4.5.1)
b. 1.5 marksi.

Application forms received by the General Managers, District Industries Centers
will be scrutinized and a list of candidates eligible for written examination along
with date of examination and details of examination centers, list of rejected
candidates with reasons for rejection, will be published on
www.maharashtra.qov.in; www.mced.biz and on websites of District
Collectors of Government of Maharashtra websites.
The admit card for the written examination will be sent by post on the postal
address given by the candidate. In case of non-receip of admit card through post,
candidate can collect the duplicate admit card from District Industries Centers in
person one week before the examination.
Written examination will be of objective type for 200 marks comprising of
multiple choice questions and fill- in the blank questions of 100 marks each. The
syllabus for written examination will be of graduate level which will includes
questions on Marathi and English languages (10tr class level), science, technical,
logical reasoning and general knowledge.
The examination will be conducted at Mumbai, Thane, Nashik, Pune,
Aurangabad, Amaravati, Nagpur and Nanded. The candidates will have to take /
attend examination at their own expense.
On the basis of the marks obtained in written examination, compartmentalized
(reservation category wise) merit list will be prepared and published on the
aforementioned websites.
The short listed candidates shall be called for interview at the Directorate of
Industries, Mumbai. The candidates shall bring the original documents which
were submitted by the candidate along with his / her application form for
verification. List of the candidates short listed for interview and schedule of
interview will be published on the aforementioned websites. The candidates who
do not produce original documents shall not be interviewed.
The candidates shall attend the interview at their own expense.
Verification of the original documents will be carried out before interview and
only eligible candidates shall be interviewed.

8.10. The final merit list on the basis of the marks of written examination and
interview will be published on the aforementioned websites.
8.11. Letters of selection will be issued to such meritorious candidates with a request
to complete the requisite formalities in respect of police inquiry report, medical
examination report, etc. within a stipulated time period.
8.12. Candidates selected can be posted anywhere in Maharashtra.
g. In case it is detected at any stage of recruitment that a candidate does not fulfill the
eligibility nonns and/or that he/she has fumished incorrect/false information/certificate/
documents or has suppressed any material fact(s), hisftrer candidature or tries to influence
any officer/ employee involved in the selection process or tries to use unlawful means in the
selection process his/trer selection shall stand cancelled. If any of these shortcomings is/are
detected even after appointment, his/her services are liable for termination.
