charcoal, with extensive inscription in ink on the recto,
another study in profile on the verso, 29.5 x 21 cm. (11

*** The indistinctly signed inscription (?Benedetto
Rosetta) states that this portrait of the baroque painter,
Felice Torelli (1667-1748), by his pupil, Fierenzola
Cremonese, is vouched to be a very good likeness by
another one-time pupil and respected student, Giuseppe
Zuandetti.

a Sa i n T, pen and black ink, with occasional brown
ink, monochrome grey wash, an inset area lower right
with a slightly differing wash, mounted on gilt-band
and brown ink-ruled support, this bearing early pencil
signature of Diepenbeeck, also inscribed on verso, and
with alternative attribution to Johann Melchior Füssli,
19 x 15 cm. (7 ½ x 6 in); with a drawing of St Jerome
in the Wilderness, also in the manner of Abraham van
Diepenbeeck, pen and brown ink, with grey wash,
heightened with white, 27.5 x 20.5 cm. (10 ¾ x 8 in);
with another drawing by a different hand (3).
