Concrete Ponds<br />
The strongest type of pond. If you get it right first time your pond will last for many years.<br />
However, this method of construction can be technically difficult, expensive and time-consuming.<br />
Foundations must be reinforced and the final layer of render should include reinforcement fibres<br />
and be sealed with G4 or Lotus Ultimate Concrete Pond Sealer.<br />
Render Reinforcement Fibres<br />
Used in the construction of concrete<br />
ponds to add strength and dramatically<br />
reduce cracking, these 6mm<br />
polypropylene fibres should be added to<br />
the final layer of mortar. Approximately<br />
20g of fibres are needed per kilogram of<br />
mortar. Supplied in 900g bags; enough<br />
for 45Kg of mortar.<br />

G4 Concrete Pond Sealer<br />
If you have decided to make your pond from concrete then you will need<br />
to seal the top layer of render to stop the water getting in and the lime,<br />
which is harmful to fish, getting out. The best way to do this is with G4<br />
Sealer. You don't need a primer, just paint it straight onto the concrete.<br />
There is a choice of clear (dries translucent) or black. You can also use<br />
G4 to coat flagstones, waterfalls, statues and other concrete products to<br />
make them safe for your pond.<br />
Just Fix It<br />
Two-part putty for repairing<br />
cracks and holes in concrete,<br />
statues, pipe and waterfalls. Sets<br />
hard, even sets under water.<br />
