Our goal is to help students realize that their talents and gifts
are to be developed not for themselves but for the good of the
local and global community. Prep students can be found in over
35 service sites across the city of Omaha during any given week,
tutoring students, visiting assisted living homes and working in
after school programs. They also work in recreational programs
for people with disabilities and feed the homeless. Yet, their
efforts are not limited to Omaha. Prep students also provide
food beyond the city limits to the Winnebago and Omaha
reservations, construct homes with Habitat for Humanity and
engage in service efforts in the Dominican Republic, Central
Mexico and the Rosebud Reservation. The Jesuit tradition
ensures our young men are “Men for Others.”
Why did you choose Prep?

I chose Prep because it was the best high school in the
state. I really liked it after I shadowed and met a lot of
teachers. Also, my brother went to Prep. He was a
nice guide for me.
When did it click for you that Prep was the right place?
It really clicked for me at Freshman Retreat. I made a lot
of new friends and it was a nice bonding time for the
whole freshman class.
Any personal encounters that made an impact?
I was on the Freshman A basketball team and we went
undefeated. There were 12 guys on the team and it was
one of the defining moments for me here at Prep.
