28 JAN KUDLÁČEK (1928) Painter, graphic artist, illustrator, graphic designer of books, director of animated films for children. Kudláček has a gentle sense for the harmony of colors. He illustrated mainly picture books for small children. He animates, through them his child-like relationship to nature. Through his decorative approach to illustration, he expresses his close and intimate relationship to the deep ponds, bubbling brooks, blooming meadows and singing birds. His softly speaking illustrations drew wellearned attention of many children in the Czech Republic and abroad.
