Tender Notice
Reserve Bank of India, Lucknow invites sealed tenders from experienced and reputed taxi service
providers/contractors/travel agencies having adequate air conditioned taxi/vehicle fleets for the use of Police
Escort party/ Bank representatives accompanying the remittance of treasure to and from Reserve Bank of India,
Lucknow to different part of the state of U.P. The tender documents for the above are available with the
General Manager, Reserve Bank of India, Issue Department, Lucknow and also at our website: www.rbi.org.in.
The duly filled in tender documents may be submitted in a sealed envelope superscribed “Tender for supply of
Taxi/Vehicles” addressed to the Regional Director for UP and Uttarakhand, Reserve Bank of India, Issue
Department, 8-9, Vipin Khand, Gomti Nagar, Lucknow-226010 so as to reach the same on or before 15:00
hours on 20 May, 2013. The Bank reserves the right to accept or reject any or all tenders without assigning any
reason.

AGREEMENT
This agreement made at Lucknow on ----------------- 2013 (Two Thousand and Thirteen)
between the Reserve Bank of India, a body corporate constituted under the Reserve Bank of India
Act, 1934 and having its Central office at Fort, Mumbai-400 001 and office at Lucknow
hereinafter referred to as the Bank represented by its Deputy General Manager, Issue Department
(which expression shall include the Deputy General Manager, Issue Department and his
successors in office) of the one part and -----------------------------------------------------
---------- hereinafter referred to as the Contractor /Taxi Operator (which expression shall
include their heirs, legal representatives, successors etc.) of the other part.
Whereas the Bank intends to hire taxies for the purpose of accompanying Police Escort
Party/Bank Representatives for sending/receiving note remittances to/from Currency
Chests/Presses /other issue offices.
Now it is mutually agreed and declared as follows:
(A) The Taxi Operator has agreed to supply the taxies at the rates given in the annex
and as agreed between the Bank on the terms and conditions as detailed below:
1) Taxi Operator shall have valid permit issued by the RTO and the drivers shall have a valid
driving license. It will be the sole responsibility of the Taxi Operator to comply with the
requirements of all the relative authorities.
2) The Taxi Operator shall provide necessary number of taxies, even at a very short notice of
half an hour in writing, verbally or even over the phone, as advised to him by the Station
Duty Officer, Asstt. Manager (Remittance Section) or any other officer/official of the
Reserve Bank of India, Lucknow authorized for the purpose.
3) The taxies must reach the reporting place well in time and should report to the Station
Duty Officer, Asstt. Manager (Remittance Section) or any other officer of the Reserve
Bank of India, Lucknow, authorized for the purpose.
4) The drivers shall follow the route as directed by the Station Duty Officer, Asstt. Manager
(Remittance Section) or any other officer of the Reserve Bank of India, Lucknow
authorized for the purpose.
5) Digital photographs of the the contractor/taxi service provider and his employees have to
be submitted by contractor for record. The contractor will ensure that at no point of time
casual/fresh employees whose details are not submitted to the Bank are deputed in the
absence of egular employees.
6) The taxies must be in good condition and the Bank shall have the right to reject any taxi,
if not found suitable. Banks decision in this regard shall be final. It will be the
responsibility of the contractor/taxi service provider that the vehicles provided are
roadworthy/in good condition with proper and comfortable seats to withstand the strain of
long journeys. Latest Insurance and fitment certificate is must for the vehicles.
7) The Bank will not pay any Service Tax to the Taxi Operator.
8) The Taxi Operator shall abide by the instructions given by the Reserve Bank of India
from time to time.

9) The Bank shall not be liable for any loss to the operator on account of accidents, injuries
to the drivers of the vehicles provided by him etc.
10) The agreement can be terminated by either party by giving one month notice in writing
and the agreement shall come to an end on the expiry of the period so mentioned in the
notice. In the event of unsatisfactory performance of the operator or any violation of the
terms and conditions of the agreement, the Bank may terminate the agreement without
any notice.
B. The agreement is valid upto --------- , 200--. The agreement may be renewed by the Bank
by a further period of one year at a time subject to satisfactory performance by the Taxi
Operator.

Terms and conditions
1. Sealed Tenders Superscribed as " Tender for Supply of Taxis/Vehicles" addressed to Regional
Director, Reserve Bank of India, Issue Department,8-9,Vipin Khand, Gomti Nagar, Lucknow -
226010 shall be submitted so as to reach the Reserve Bank of India, Issue Department,
Lucknow (herein referred to as "the Bank") latest by 1500 hours on or before May 20, 2013.
No tender will be accepted therafter under any circumstance whatsoever.
2. The tenderer must use only the forms issued by the Bank or the formats down loaded from
Bank's website www.rbi.org.in.
3. Tenders will be opened at 4:00 p.m on May 20, 2013 at this office in the presence of General
Manager, Issue Department, Reserve Bank of India, Lucknow or any other officer designated
for this purpose by him in the presence of the tenderers or their representatives, should they
choose to be present.
4. a) The tender forms must be filled in English or Hindi.
b) Rates should be quoted both in figures and words in columns specified.
All erasures and alterations made while filling the tender must be attested by the tenderer.
Overwriting of figures is not permitted; failure to comply with either of these conditions will
render the tender void at the Banks' option. No advice of any change in rate or condition
after opening of the tender will be entertained.
c) Each of the tender document should be signed by the person or persons submitting the
tender in token of his/their having acquainted himself/themselves with general conditions of
the contract. Tender documents which are not signed by the tenderer will be rejected.
d) The tenders submitted on behalf of the company/firm shall be signed by all the
directors/partners of the company/firm authorized to enter into the proposed contract, failing
which the tender will be rejected.
5. The Reserve Bank of India reserves the right to accept or reject any or all of the tenders, either
in whole or in part without assigning any reasons.
6. The successful tenderer will have to enter into an agreement with the Bank initially for one year
, which may be renewed thereafter for further period of one year each at a time on mutually
agreeable terms and conditions. Once the agreement comes into force, the contractor/taxi
service provider has to provide taxis to the Bank at the rates quoted and no escalation in rates
will be entertained by the Bank within the validity period of the agreement.
7. The contractor/taxi service provider has to provide vehicles for movement to and from Reserve
Bank of India, Lucknow purely as per the requirement of the Bank. The contractor shall provide
A.C. vehicles having the capacity to accommodate six to eight persons. Transporter shall
ensure that the vehicles provided are in good condition, roadworthy with proper/comfortable
seats to withstand the strains of long journeys.
8. The contractor/taxi service provider will be required to provide the taxis to the Bank on prior
notice. They will also be required to provide taxies at short i.e. even at the notice of half an
hour over telephone.
9. Transporter shall appoint experienced and skillful drivers and they should have valid driving
license and they should be only their employee. Obtaining the necessary permission/approval
of the concerned state police/appropriate authorities shall be the responsibility of the
transporter.
10. In case of breakdown of any vehicle the firm/contractor shall be able to provide services of
additional vehicle so that the remittance of treasure is not delayed.
