Mandala, a Sanskrit word that means “circle,” is a pattern that is used in many traditions<br />

- Christian, Buddhist, Hindu, Native Americans, Aztecs, Tibetan monks and many more -<br />

and is found in abundance throughout nature. Join us as we explore its ancient pattern<br />

and many uses as a vehicle to explore art, science, religion and life itself. A $10 material<br />

colored glass and tiles to create a pattern or picture? We will introduce<br />

you to the joy of creating art and learning a new way to express yourself. Please<br />

bring a glass or ceramic item (plate/cup) to also use in your mosaic <strong>for</strong> personalization.<br />

Students at all skill levels are welcome. A $15-$60 material fee is due to instructor<br />

MARYLAND BASIC BOATING SAFETY<br />

An eight-hour course that meets the state requirements <strong>for</strong> boating and personal<br />

watercraft safety. In order to operate a motor boat or personal watercraft, persons<br />

born after July 1, 1972 are required by Maryland law to successfully complete<br />

this certification course. Class includes a review of chart reading, course plotting,<br />

marlinspike (knot tying). Age: all (under 13 must be accompanied by a<br />

paying adult). No early bird or senior discount. Instructor: Loren Lustig<br />
