On Friday, March 23, in one of the<br />
closest final mock trial rounds ever, Logos<br />
School from Moscow won <strong>Idaho</strong>’s Annual<br />
High School Mock Trial Competition,<br />
defeating <strong>The</strong> Ambrose School of Meridian,<br />
in a split ballot by a total of only five<br />
points. This year, mock trial teams had the<br />
opportunity to try a civil case in which a<br />
celebrity sues a fictitious long term care<br />
facility in Hailey, <strong>Idaho</strong> for the death of<br />
the celebrity’s spouse, tragically killed in<br />
a particularly vicious bingo match, after<br />
being hit over the head with a bingo cage.<br />
<strong>The</strong> season included 142 students and 88<br />
volunteers.<br />
<strong>The</strong>re were 16 teams from 10 schools<br />
participating in regional tournaments<br />
held in Blackfoot, Caldwell, and Coeur<br />
d’Alene in early March. Of those teams<br />

County Courthouse in Boise. Four teams<br />
advanced to the semi-final rounds held at<br />
the Federal Courthouse, including:<br />

• Centennial High School<br />
• Coeur d’Alene High School<br />
• Logos School<br />
Logos and Ambrose moved on to the<br />
finals held at the <strong>Idaho</strong> Supreme Court.<br />
Logos will now advance to the National<br />
High School Mock Trial Championship in<br />
Albuquerque, New Mexico, to be held on<br />
• Vallivue High School, Caldwell <strong>May</strong> 3 to 6.
