Appendix A NSL TASK FORCE MEMBERSHIP<br />
The chairman <strong>of</strong> the board <strong>of</strong> <strong>Australian</strong> Soccer Association Limited (ASA), Mr Frank Lowy<br />
appointed the NSL Task Force on 9 October, 2003 with a public announcement being made on<br />
13 October, 2003.<br />
The Task Force comprised:<br />
• Andrew Kemeny Former chairman <strong>of</strong> Sydney City.<br />
• Cheryl Bart Former director <strong>of</strong> Soccer Australia, former chairman <strong>of</strong> the<br />
<strong>Australian</strong> <strong>Sports</strong> Foundation, director <strong>of</strong> Basketball Australia<br />
and Women’s National Basketball League.<br />
• Remo Nogarotto Chairman <strong>of</strong> the NSL <strong>Commission</strong>, founding chairman <strong>of</strong><br />
Northern Spirit Football Club, former chairman <strong>of</strong> Soccer<br />
Australia, former director <strong>of</strong> NSW Soccer Federation and<br />
Club Marconi.<br />
• Jack Reilly Director <strong>of</strong> Finance,VicSport, former chairman <strong>of</strong> the<br />
Victorian Soccer Federation and inaugural chairman <strong>of</strong> the<br />
Carlton Soccer Club. Represented Australia 35 times,<br />
including at the 1974 World Cup.<br />
• Brendan Schwab Former chief executive <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Australian</strong> Pr<strong>of</strong>essional<br />
Footballers’ Association (PFA), member <strong>of</strong> the PFA Advisory<br />
Board and chairman <strong>of</strong> PFA Management Ltd.<br />
• Johnny Warren <strong>On</strong>e <strong>of</strong> Australia’s leading soccer identities and commentators.<br />
Captained Socceroos between 1966 and 1972, and played in<br />
three World Cup campaigns.<br />
• Charlie Yankos <strong>On</strong>e <strong>of</strong> Australia’s most capped players, former Socceroos<br />
captain, former player in the NSL and in Europe.<br />
– The secretary to the Task Force was the general manager <strong>of</strong> the NSL, Stefan Kamasz.<br />
– Administrative support was also provided by the <strong>Australian</strong> <strong>Sports</strong> <strong>Commission</strong>.<br />
