Jeff Pucci (’82)
I give to the MAA because of my great
experience at Marlington. Donating to
the Alumni Association is something
I want to do because of the positive
experience I had- and I still bleed
orange and black! Go Dukes.
Ray Sluss (’44)
I spent my entire career in the
field of education- as a teacher,
a principal and for many years in
the academic textbook industry. I
believe in the value of education
and had opportunities because of
the generosity of others. It is my
privilege to give back and encourage
another generation.

I donate to the MAA because I am
proud of our school system. I know
the funds are managed well and time
and effort are put into choosing the
recipients. We need to show our

me the foundation of where I am

providing the same quality education as

the years, as Marlington – and all the
wonderful people it is composed of –
has supported me throughout the years.
Marlington is near and dear to my heart.
I did my student teaching there in the
spring of 1964, then accepted a position
there in the fall -- and never left until I
retired thirty years later. It is a beautiful
and treasured part of my life.
