Tennis News Junior Circuit #2 & #3: th th Saturday, March 5 & April 9 from 1:00p.m.-4:00p.m. This circuit is open to players at Sweetwater ages 7-13 who are not qualified as a Champ or Super champ and are looking for match experience. The event is held on Saturdays between 1-4. The cost is free association members or $10.00 for non-association members. Ankle Biters Session 2: Every Monday starting st th March 21 – May 9 from 4:00p.m.-4:45p.m. (ages 4-6) This Program consists of eight, 45-minute progressive practice sessions designed to teach kids movement, hand/eye skills and how to us either racquets while participating in fun activities. Each practice session will incorporate some of the USTA's Quick start methods to ensure success at an earlier age! The cost is $104 for the eight-week session ($13.00 per class). For those who would like to buy a racquet we can include one for only $15 more! Ladies St. Patty's Play Day: th Friday, March 11 from 9:00a.m.- 11:30a.m. Come out dressed in green for our annual St. Patty's Ladies Play Day! We will mix up partners and rotate around every 20 minutes. This gives everyone a chance to play with a bunch of different people. March is National Nutrition Month. We will begin the month with information on the current food pyramid. Then be sure to stop by the Athletic Desk throughout the month to pick up recipe ideas. We will be offering healthy ideas for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks! April is Stress Awareness Month. Stress can cause harmful effects on your health. It is important to be aware of your stress levels. Use this month to get a handle on your stress. Pick up your April calendar at the Athletic Desk. Each day we will offer information, helpful tips or a quote. DEMO DAY Saturday, March 19th All the new equipment introductions from Callaway, Cobra, TaylorMade & Titleist, and more will be yours to swing, hit, test and compare. Meets are held on Monday afternoons starting in June. Registration is open to swimmers ages 5 – 18. As SWCC members receive priority, there is a member only registration period from March 21, 2011- March 28, 2011. Registration for the competitive team is limited to 200 swimmers, who meet qualification requirements, and the team fills up quickly. We will also have a noncompetitive team. All available roster spots will be a v a i l a b l e f o r m e m b e r a n d nonmember swimmers from March 29, 2011-April 9, 2011. Registration will be available at www.swsurfers.org.
