TERMS OF ADMISSION, &c.<br />
1. When a student presents herself for matriculation, it will<br />
be required <strong>of</strong> her to pursue the course <strong>of</strong> studies adopted by<br />
the Board <strong>of</strong> Trustees, unless her parents or guardian other-<br />
wise direct and in this case the privilege <strong>of</strong> selecting studies<br />
must be subject to the judgment <strong>of</strong> the Faculty.<br />
2. Each student will be provided with a copy <strong>of</strong> the rules<br />
and regulations <strong>of</strong> the <strong>College</strong>, which, on her entrance, she<br />
will be required to read and subscribe, as an expression <strong>of</strong> her<br />
desire to reap the benefits <strong>of</strong> the Institution, and her purpose<br />
to conform to its laws.<br />
3. If a student be withdrawn from school on account <strong>of</strong> ill<br />
health or family affliction all moneys paid in advance for<br />
board and tuition will be refunded.<br />

A person paying the sum <strong>of</strong> $100 per session, is entitled<br />
to board and to tuition in all the studies <strong>of</strong> <strong>College</strong>. Beyond<br />
this there are no extras.<br />

MISCELLANEOUS REMARKS.<br />
The <strong>College</strong> Buildings.<br />
The collage buildings ate at a convenient distance from the<br />
town <strong>of</strong> <strong>Greensboro</strong>ugh to accommodate pupils (residing in<br />
the town,) in the various literary departments <strong>of</strong> the college<br />
but students reading in college will have ‘bat little occasion<br />
to visit the town. The visiting <strong>of</strong> stores unattended by some<br />
member <strong>of</strong> the Faculty is expressly” inhibited. The expenditures<br />
<strong>of</strong> the young ladies are therefore entirely within the<br />
control <strong>of</strong> their parents and guardians and the directions<br />
they may give on this subject shall be rigidly observed<br />
Apparatus<br />
The college is furnished with a handsome philosophical<br />
apparatus, for experimenting in chemistry, &c.<br />
Literary Society.<br />
The Sigourneyan Society, formed by the young ladies for<br />
their mutual advancement in literature, have the present<br />
means <strong>of</strong> furnishing their library room with a handsome<br />
collection <strong>of</strong> works judiciously selected, and immediate steps<br />
will be taken to extend the collection.<br />
Religious Services.<br />
Religious services will be had in the <strong>College</strong> Chapel three<br />
times every Sabbath day so that there will be no occasion to<br />
visit the town for public worship.<br />
Health.<br />
During the past year, the young ladies enjoyed unusnal<br />
health. The cases <strong>of</strong> sickness which occurred, being comparatively<br />
few, and none <strong>of</strong> serious character.
