A selection of Handy FAQs about your ROMPA ® Catalogue<br />

The ROMPA ® <strong>catalogue</strong> is intended to be the Complete Resource for your sensory needs and is full of fantastic<br />

products. We aim to help improve the quality of life for people of all ages and abilities and to that end we<br />

have collated a selection of frequently asked questions that will help you navigate the <strong>catalogue</strong> more easily<br />

and assist you in your decisions as to which products will really make a difference to you.<br />

1.) What are the big changes for the 2012 <strong>catalogue</strong>?<br />

The major changes are mainly to do with the look and layout. A lot of the products you know and love are still enclosed. Make sure you check out the<br />

introductory pages where you will find out more about ROMPA ® and Snoezelen ® . We have also separated the sections according to the products’ main use so as<br />

to make them easier to find.<br />

2.) I have the 2011 <strong>catalogue</strong> and I cannot find the product I want in the 2012 <strong>catalogue</strong>, where is it?<br />

Some of the products from 2011 have been taken out and replaced, mainly due to the fact that our customers have chosen a more popular line of products. In<br />

many cases the product may still be in the <strong>catalogue</strong>; be sure to look at the section titles as a guide. If you still cannot find it, please call our helpful advisors<br />

who will be able to find it for you and suggest other products you may be interested in.<br />

3.) How do I find new products?<br />

Our new products are all highlighted with a “New” logo. We have a featured section on our website to browse and again, our advisors would be more than<br />

happy to discuss and explain the new products to you over the phone.<br />

4.) I wanted a product which is not shown in your <strong>catalogue</strong> - can I still buy it?<br />

Products are removed or replaced for various reasons. In some cases we may still hold stock of lines that are no longer advertised, or we are able to source them<br />

for you. If you are in any doubt, please call.<br />

5.) How do I order from the <strong>catalogue</strong>?<br />

Ordering could not be simpler, you can order via phone, post, fax, email or on the website. Our details are at the bottom of each page for your reference and we<br />

have enclosed an order form on page 239.<br />

6.) How long will my item take to arrive?<br />

For most products, it should be no longer than a few days as we keep many items in stock. However as an environmentally-conscious company, on multiple<br />

orders we will wait until your total order is ready to ship before sending, unless otherwise agreed with you. For larger items, or specials, because we manufacture<br />

especially for you some items can take 4-8 weeks to arrive. We will always inform you of this at time of order.<br />

7.) What if I don’t/the person I bought for doesn’t like the item?<br />

You are always protected by your statutory rights and distance selling regulation, which may change from time to time. However if an item is simply unwanted<br />

and falls outside of the above regulations and you want to return it for a credit, we reserve the right to levy a 15% restocking fee against your credit note. This is<br />

simply to cover our costs, as you can appreciate, but we always try and avoid this where possible because we are nice people.<br />

8.) What is the warranty period for items in the <strong>catalogue</strong>?<br />

All items in the <strong>catalogue</strong> come with a 1 year warranty covering normal use. If an item breaks or is faulty, please inform us as soon as you can with as much<br />

detail as possible. Our equipment is selected and designed to be robust for the use of our market, however our warranty doesn’t cover misuse or purposeful<br />

damage. We know our customers and we know the challenges you face and this can be a very “grey” area so please do not be offended if we investigate any<br />

incident - it is all part of the feedback and testing we require to ensure that we are providing you with the right products.<br />

9.) Are there any areas for concern in using sensory equipment?<br />

In the main part, no - for the vast majority there will be no adverse affects. However, it does really depend on the person who is using it. We know that some<br />

products will be unsuitable for individuals who mouth, or have photosensitive epilepsy. This is why we recommend you be mindful of any pre-existing preferences<br />

or conditions before you commence with a sensory experience. If you are in any doubt, please contact a professional. Our staff can only give limited guidance<br />

on such matters as they do not know your client or their needs personally.<br />

10.) There are similar items, but one is cheaper than the other - which one should I pick?<br />

It normally depends on how often and who will use the item. We do include a number of low cost options in our <strong>catalogue</strong> to accommodate tight budgets, but<br />

by their very nature will not have the features, quality or longevity of a more expensive item. We are advocates that you do not have to spend a lot of money all<br />

the time to give a great sensory experience, but sometimes cutting back can lead to a false economy and having products which cannot be used. All our<br />

advisors receive regular product training and will be able to describe the features and benefits of each.<br />

11.) I want to learn more about sensory, where should I go?<br />

For those who enjoy heavier reading, ROMPA ® keeps an extensive list of research papers into the benefits of Snoezelen ® MSE which can be requested from us.<br />
