North purchases books with award from Target<br />

Award from Target. The award, from the Westfield Target store,<br />

allowed the school to purchase 182 books for kindergarten and<br />

fifth-grade classrooms.<br />

Willy Wonka Jr. coming to NEMS<br />

Students at <strong>Noblesville</strong> East Middle School will present the<br />

musical Willy Wonka Jr., at 4 p.m. Thursday, <strong>November</strong> 15, 7<br />

p.m. Friday, <strong>November</strong> 16, and 2 p.m. Saturday, <strong>November</strong> 17,<br />

in the school auditorium. Seating is reserved. Tickets are $3 for<br />

students and $5 for adults and will be sold during student lunches the week of the show and at the door prior to<br />

each presentation.<br />

School board to meet in executive session<br />

The <strong>Noblesville</strong> Board of School Trustees will meet in executive session at 7 a.m. Monday,<br />

<strong>November</strong> 5, in the conference room at the Central Administration Office, 1775 Field Drive. An<br />

agenda is at the end of this document.<br />

Christy Steffen receives ʻExcellenceʼ Award<br />

Christy Steffen (left photo), a special needs teacher at<br />

<strong>Noblesville</strong> High School, has received the “Excellence in<br />

Education” Award from the Autism Society of Indiana for her<br />

work at NHS and for "going above and beyond" in her support<br />

of individuals affected by autism.<br />

She was recognized at the societyʼs 7th Annual Excellence<br />

Awards Benefit. She also was recognized by the <strong>Noblesville</strong><br />

Board of School Trustees at the boardʼs October 23 meeting.<br />

Community activities for youth<br />

<strong>Noblesville</strong> coaches and organizations throughout the <strong>Noblesville</strong> community offer a variety of activities for<br />

youth. Our schools frequently are asked to share information about those activities with parents and we are<br />

happy to do so. The following is a list of activities that were posted recently on our website. You may download<br />
