Tables, walls, floors and chairs can all act as conductors and dielectrics,<br />
turning furniture and other architectural elements into a new class of transmission<br />
medium. For example, a user could have instant access to the Internet merely by<br />
placing a laptop onto a conductive tabletop.<br />
3.1.5 Marketing applic<strong>at</strong>ions<br />
When a consumer stands in front of an advertising panel, advertising and<br />
inform<strong>at</strong>ion m<strong>at</strong>ching his or her <strong>at</strong>tributes is autom<strong>at</strong>ically displayed. By touching or<br />
standing in front of items they are interested in, consumers can get more in-depth<br />
inform<strong>at</strong>ion.<br />

1.1.6 Security applic<strong>at</strong>ions<br />
RedTacton could be installed on doors, cabinets and other loc<strong>at</strong>ions calling for<br />
secure access, such th<strong>at</strong> each secure access could be initi<strong>at</strong>ed and authentic<strong>at</strong>ed<br />
with a simple touch. At the same time, all the transaction details and relevant<br />
user <strong>at</strong>tributes (personal identity, security clearance, etc.) could be logged by<br />
