1. Familiarisation of Internet components such as Modem,Gateways,<br />

Routers, Bridges etc.<br />

2. Introduction to various internet softwares, services and<br />

Applications.<br />

3. Familiariation of Internet accessing and trouble shooting<br />

Techniques.<br />

4. Software simulation of communication protocols<br />

5. Introduction to internet programming (Creation of Java applets, stand<br />

alone program etc.)<br />

IT 707 Minor Project - Web Oriented<br />

Design and development of a web oriented commercial site using HTML and JAVA<br />

( Each student has to do separate projects )<br />

IT 708 Seminar<br />

Each student shall give a 45 minute presentation of a topic followed by a 15 minutes discussion<br />

and elaboration.<br />
