National Football Foundation<br />
Congratulations to Senior Kyler Beasley-Rose for being selected as<br />
one of the 11 recipients of the Colorado Chapter of the National<br />
Football Foundation 2013 Scholar-Athlete Award. The hard work and<br />
dedication Kyler has shown to football, academics, and the <strong>Grand</strong><br />
<strong>Junction</strong> community has placed him among the elite of the 17,000<br />
football players in the State of Colorado. Kyler and the other 10<br />
scholar athletes will be recognized and honored at a banquet on<br />
Monday, February 18, 2013 at 6:30 p.m. at the Denver West Marriott Hotel.<br />
Intent to Play<br />
On Wednesday, November 14, 2012, <strong>Grand</strong><br />
<strong>Junction</strong> <strong>High</strong> <strong>School</strong> recognized and celebrated<br />
a National Letter of Intent signing<br />
ceremony for Lacee Kilgore and Spencer<br />
Weinberg. Lacee signed to compete in volleyball,<br />
as a Beacon, at The University of<br />
Massachusetts in Boston; Spencer signed to<br />
play tennis at Colorado Mesa University.<br />
He graduated in December and will begin<br />
school at CMU later this month.<br />
On Wednesday December 19, we recognized<br />
and congratulated Austin Berk<br />
and James Diamanti at a ceremony in<br />
the main gymnasium wishing them well<br />
as they prepare for the next stage of<br />
their lives. Both Austin and James<br />
graduated early at semester, and each<br />
will be enrolling in college and will be-<br />
gin their college football careers in the<br />
spring. Austin will attend Colorado<br />
State University and James will attend<br />
the University of Wyoming.<br />
Congratulations to seniors Matt King<br />
and Kyler Beasley-Rose who have<br />
committed to play football at the Colorado<br />
<strong>School</strong> of Mines. The Orediggers<br />
are a member of the Rocky Mountain<br />
Athletic Conference (RMAC). The National<br />
Letter of Intent Signing Ceremony<br />
for Kyler and Matt will be held in<br />
February.<br />
