D<strong>ES</strong>CRIPTION: <strong>FM</strong> <strong>5055</strong>-<strong>ES</strong> Knock Out is a solvent based non-selective weed killer designed to be applied on<br />

non-cropland areas where bare ground is desired. It contains two active ingredients: Bromacil,<br />

which controls weeds through root contact and gives season-long residual control, and 2-4-D,<br />

which controls weeds through foliage and gives immediate weed burn down. The degree of weed<br />

control and duration of effect will vary with the amount of product used, soil type, rainfall and other<br />

conditions. Apply any time of year except when the ground is frozen. Best results are obtained<br />

after predominant species are well established in late spring or early summer.<br />

APPLICATION: General Weed Control: To control most weeds for an extended period of time on non-cropland<br />

areas, such as: parking lots, fence rows, loading ramps, railroad sidings, storage yards, around<br />

buildings and industrial plant sites, apply 1 can per 36-64 sq. ft.<br />

To control annual weeds and grasses such as foxtail, ryegrass, wild oats, crabgrass, cheatgrass,<br />

broomsedge, ragweed, lambsquarter and turkey mullein, apply 1 can per 64-128 sq. ft. For other<br />

hard-to-kill perennial weeds and grasses, such as Johnsongrass, saltgrass, bouncing bet, bracken<br />

fern and horsetail, apply 1 can per 36 sq.ft.<br />

DIRECTIONS: IT IS A VIOLATION OF FEDERAL LAW TO USE THIS PRODUCT IN A MANNER INCONSISTENT<br />

WITH ITS LABELING. Not for use on turf being grown for sale or other <strong>com</strong>mercial use as sod, or<br />

for <strong>com</strong>mercial seed production, or for research purposes. For use on plants in non-crop and nontimber<br />

areas only. Not for use on crops, timber, or other plants being grown for sale or other<br />

<strong>com</strong>mercial use, or for <strong>com</strong>mercial seed production, or for research purposes.<br />

PRECAUTIONS: KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN. Hazardous to Humans and Domestic Animals. CAUTION:<br />

May be fatal if swallowed, absorbed through skin or inhaled. Causes skin irritation. Do not<br />

breathe spray mist. Do not get in eyes or on clothing. PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT<br />

(PPE): Applicators and other handlers must wear: Chemical-resistant gloves (Category A); Longsleeved<br />

shirt and long pants; shoes plus socks. USER SAFETY REQUIREMENTS: Follow<br />

manufacturer’s instructions for cleaning/maintaining PPE. If no such instructions for washables,<br />

use detergent and hot water. Keep and wash PPE separately from other laundry.<br />

ENVIRONMENTAL HAZARDS: Do not apply directly to water, or to areas where surface water is<br />

present or to intertidal areas below the mean high water mark. Do not contaminate water when<br />

cleaning equipment or disposing of equipment washwaters.<br />

FIRST AID: IF ON SKIN: Take off contaminated clothing. Rinse skin immediately with plenty of<br />

water for 15-20 minutes. Call a poison control center or doctor for treatment advice. IF IN EY<strong>ES</strong>:<br />

Hold eye open and rinse slowly and gently with water for 15-20 minutes. Remove contact lenses,<br />

if present, after first 5 minutes, then continue rinsing eye. Call a poison control center or doctor for<br />

treatment advice. IF SWALLOWED: Call a poison control center or doctor immediately for treatment<br />

advice. Have person sip a glass of water if able to swallow. Do not induce vomiting unless told to<br />

do so by a poison control center or doctor. IF INHALED: Move person to fresh air. If person is not<br />

breathing, call 911 or an ambulance, then give artificial respiration, preferably by mouth-to-mouth,<br />

if possible. Call a poison control center or doctor for further treatment advice.<br />
