Parul Group of Institutes
Yearly youth festival is a talent treasure hunt as well as celebration of creativity, skills and intellect of<br />
exuberant youth of the campus. We would say its spontaneous overflow of powerful performances as well<br />
as performances recollected in tranquility. It is a display of mosaic culture and art prevalent in the campus<br />
along with athletic acts of Parulians. A range of competitions are organized under the different umbrellas<br />
named Cultural, Literature and Sports Competitions.<br />
Cultural activities include Solo Singing (boys & girls), Duet Singing, Solo Dance (boys & girls), Couple<br />
Dance, Classical Dance, Folk Dance / Traditional Dance, Mr. & Ms. <strong>Dhoom</strong> <strong>2012</strong>, Fashion Show. All events<br />
provide us medley of feelings some make us feel westernized while others make us feel nostalgic. It is a<br />
demonstration of brotherhood, habitation, festivals, celebration, attires and many more practiced by<br />
people all over the world. Fashion Show event has always come up with various as well as fantastic themes<br />
like Global Warming, Money parasite, Egypt culture, Save Girl Child, Help Specially Challenged People,<br />
Corruption, Green Revolution, Stop Domestic Violence, etc.<br />
Literature Zone was, as usual, overcrowded with intelligent audience for the events like Debate,<br />
Extempore Elocution, Essay Writing, Story Writing, Poster Making, Painting, Skit, Mono-acting, Drama,<br />
Poetry Recitation, My Own Poetry, Antakshari, Treasure Hunt, etc. Tough & fruitful brainstorming takes<br />
place during Debate and Elocution while flight by wings of imagination<br />
can easily be seen in Essay, Story and Poetry writing. Quick movements in bewilderment and<br />
overwhelming emotions with a sense of exploration from the side of participants were really enviable for<br />
the viewers of the grand event Treasure Hunt.<br />
Sports section was thundering with piercing round of applauses for series of events like Cricket, Foot Ball,<br />
Volley Ball, Basket Ball, Kho-Kho, Kabbadi, Badminton, Chess, Table Tennis and all. Unstoppable cheers<br />
from the side of audience were constantly boosting the zealous confidence of athlete students to give<br />
their power pack performances. Patience, Mental Agility, Group Behavior – Team Spirit, Leadership Skills<br />
and obviously Sportsmanship were some of the learning lessons for participants as well as for audience of<br />
sports events.

Inaugural Ceremony – Morning<br />
9th Annual Function was inaugurated by Chief Guest Mr. B. C. Solanki, Pracharya, District Institute of<br />
Education & Training (D.I.E.T) Guest of Honor Mr. Satish Shrimali, Ex. Superintendent, Archaeology<br />
Department, Lothal and Ex. Bank of India (BOI) Manager. Dr. Devanshu Patel delivered welcome and<br />
motivated speech which highlighted the importance & objectives of sports, literature and cultural<br />
activities along with busy schedule of studies.<br />
Cultural event was inaugurated in presence of honorable guest along with the prize distribution to the<br />
students who achieved ranks in GTU examination by their noticeable academic performance.<br />
On 19th February <strong>2012</strong>, cultural event was instated in presence of respected guests Mr. J. K. Bhatt;<br />
Deputy Inspector General of Police, Vadodara Range and Dr. Anil Kane; Ex. V. C. M. S. <strong>University</strong> of<br />
Baroda. Winners of the competitions were rewarded by Certificates, trophies, medals for their<br />
outstanding performance<br />
