Performance beyond the expected<br />

Siemens supplies liners for every abrasive media applications and for optimal lifetime providing<br />

best possible protection of the <strong>flow</strong>meter. From inlet protection rings to liners and electrodes,<br />

a wide range of materials are available. In particular, Linatex and PTFE liners have proven their<br />

worth in <strong>harsh</strong> environments.<br />

Linatex for top protection in mining applications<br />

Rugged in design and unaffected by electrode noise,<br />

disturbances or vibrations, the SITRANS F M TRANSMAG 2<br />

<strong>flow</strong>meter is ideal for anywhere with solid content and<br />

magnetic particles up to 70%.<br />

When fitted with a Linatex liner, the <strong>flow</strong>meter is<br />

well-equipped for wear resistance where the liner also<br />

provides long-lasting mechanical protection as minerals<br />

or particles bounce off the soft rubber liner, instead of<br />

wearing it down.<br />

Other liner options available are Neoprene and<br />

NOVOLAK if chemicals are present - especially the<br />

latter is well suited for gold <strong>process</strong>ing.<br />

Resistant PTFE liner for pulp and paper industries<br />

The SITRANS F M TRANSMAG 2 <strong>flow</strong>meter offers<br />

exceptional value for pulp and paper applications.<br />

The high-energy magnetic field generated with high<br />

pulsed AC technology provides a powerful signal ideal<br />

for measuring <strong>flow</strong> even where media fiber content<br />

is up to 15%.<br />

PTFE in general terms is renowned for possessing<br />

the best long-term chemical resistance of any liner<br />

material, maintaining its stability despite prolonged<br />

exposure to high chemical concentrations at elevated<br />

temperatures.<br />

When equipped with a PFTE liner it is also well suited for<br />

pulp and paper applications, and together with the good<br />

signal noise relationship the SITRANS F M TRANSMAG 2<br />

<strong>flow</strong>meter is ready to take on your toughest requests -<br />

no matter how demanding they may be.

The high-powered SITRANS F M TRANSMAG 2<br />

<strong>flow</strong>meter is an innovative Siemens invention<br />

enabling accurate <strong>flow</strong> <strong>measurement</strong> even in<br />

applications where slurries and solids are common.<br />

The extremely robust <strong>flow</strong>meter combines the<br />

advantage of pulsed DC and the continuous<br />

alternating field.<br />

Superior magnetic field<br />

The impressive magnetic strength of the<br />

SITRANS F M MAG 911/E sensor is much greater<br />

than conventional DC <strong>flow</strong>meters. Besides the<br />

strong magnetic field, the SITRANS F M TRANSMAG 2<br />

offers a second coil circuit to compensate for<br />

fluctuations in the magnetic field caused by the<br />

conditions of the <strong>process</strong>. The result is a <strong>reliable</strong> and<br />

accurate <strong>measurement</strong> with a fast response rate.<br />
