designing a room?
Follow your heart, don’t do something just because
somebody else has done it. Be true to yourself
and do what you’ve always liked. Style shouldn’t
reflect just what you like today, but what you have
accumulated over time. It is fine to move with
trends, but you should consider what you’ve had,
what you’ve collected, what you love; and then mix
it all together. It should be a balance between your
treasured possessions, trends and new technology.

Shareen Joel has over 20 years of local and international
experience in fully integrated architecture, interior design,
product design, industrial design and brand management.
Having worked for Ford Motor Company in Australia, the UK and then Detroit for almost
ten years, Shareen established Shareen Joel Design in 2003, and has since achieved
