Son of Absalom and Sarah Jane (Armstead) Miller of Saline County, Illinois. Born on 16 Apr.,<br />
1811 in Kentucky. Married to Elizabeth Holmes on 11 Mar., 1830 in Gallatin Co., Illinois.<br />
Listed in 1830 Census (Sept 1830) for Monroe Twp, Gallatin Co, Illnois. They were the parents<br />
of Bryant (Briant), Mary Ann, Sarah, Catherine, Charles David, William Stephen, Absalom,<br />
Apcelia "Apsil", John N. and Almira "Allie" Miller. Moved with his parents first from Logan<br />
County, Ky. to Gallatin Co., Illinois, and then onward to Saline County, Illinois by 1850.<br />
Elizabeth and James died one day apart 16 -17 Jan. 1883, and were buried in a special built<br />
