Saline County. Broken headstone reveals only the inscription: "Son of S. & S. Miller". John died<br />

on 2 Oct. 1873 and is buried in Carrier Mills Cemetery 7,Carrier Mills, Saline County, Illinois<br />

John B. Miller -<br />

Son of Absalom and Sarah Jane (Armstead) Miller of Saline County, Illinois. Born about 1813 in<br />

Kentucky. Married first, Eliza Jane Hudson {Find A Grave Memorial # 35609160} on 11 Apr.,<br />

1833 in Gallatin County, Illinois. They were the parents of Drew, David James, Sarah Jane,<br />

Stephen William and Samuel Miller. Married secondly Eliza Thompson on 8 Aug., 1847 in<br />

Gallatin County, Illinois. They were the parents of Apsel Ann (Apcelia), Nancy Ann, Francis<br />

Marion, Susan Catherine, Harriet, William and Harmon Douglas Miller. John's Father and<br />

mother were living with Him during the 1850 Census, the same year in which both died. He and<br />

his father were witnesses to the Will of Wilson Henderson on 12 Sept. 1847, in Saline County.<br />

John also served on the first Grand Jury conducted for the County on 5 June 1848, at Raleigh. He<br />

died on 3 Oct., 1864 and is buried in Carrier Mills Cemetery 7, Carrier Mills, Saline County,<br />

Illinois {Find A Grave Memorial # 35609107}.<br />

John David Miller -<br />

Son of Charles David and Elizabeth Frye (Miller) of Saline County, Illnois. Born on 24 Sept.,<br />

1856 in Saline County. Married to Margaret Elizabeth Chase {Find A Grave Memorial #<br />

19529597} on 11 Nov., 1877 in Saline County. They were the parents of Charles Sampson<br />

"Samp", Alice Prudence, Vida Elizabeth, Jacob "Jake" Ellis, Hattie Lusince, Dock and Willard<br />

"Wid" Miller. John died in 1937 and is buried in Blackburn Cemetery, Blackburn, Pawnee<br />

County, Oklahoma {Find A Grave Memorial # 19529588}.<br />

John Marshall Miller -<br />

Son of Bryant (Briant) and Martha D. (Russell) Miller. Born on 31 May 1861 in Saline County,<br />

Illinois. Married first to Mary E. Spinks on 8 Oct., 1882 (Book A 1. p. 0062) in Saline County.<br />

His obituary reads as follows: "John Marshall Miller was born May 31, 1859 near South<br />

America Church in Saline County Illinois. Departed this life January 17, 1931, age 71 years, 7<br />

months and 16 days. He professed a faith in Christ at the age of 25 years, and united with the<br />

South America Baptist Church, and remained a member of the church until 11 years ago. He
