John Miller -
Son of Stephen and Sarah J. (Hutson) Miller of Saline County, Illinois. Born on 28 June 1841 in
Saline County. Broken headstone reveals only the inscription: "Son of S. & S. Miller". John died
on 2 Oct. 1873 and is buried in Carrier Mills Cemetery 7,Carrier Mills, Saline County, Illinois

John B. Miller -
Son of Absalom and Sarah Jane (Armstead) Miller of Saline County, Illinois. Born about 1813 in
Kentucky. Married first, Eliza Jane Hudson {Find A Grave Memorial # 35609160} on 11 Apr.,
1833 in Gallatin County, Illinois. They were the parents of Drew, David James, Sarah Jane,
Stephen William and Samuel Miller. Married secondly Eliza Thompson on 8 Aug., 1847 in
Gallatin County, Illinois. They were the parents of Apsel Ann (Apcelia), Nancy Ann, Francis
Marion, Susan Catherine, Harriet, William and Harmon Douglas Miller. John's Father and
mother were living with Him during the 1850 Census, the same year in which both died. He and
his father were witnesses to the Will of Wilson Henderson on 12 Sept. 1847, in Saline County.
John also served on the first Grand Jury conducted for the County on 5 June 1848, at Raleigh. He
died on 3 Oct., 1864 and is buried in Carrier Mills Cemetery 7, Carrier Mills, Saline County,

His obituary reads as follows: "John Marshall Miller was born May 31, 1859 near South
America Church in Saline County Illinois. Departed this life January 17, 1931, age 71 years, 7
months and 16 days. He professed a faith in Christ at the age of 25 years, and united with the
South America Baptist Church, and remained a member of the church until 11 years ago. He
