- A public market taking in account the classic typology of the<br />

mediterranean markets<br />

- Some other spaces with different public purposes<br />

what did they get?<br />

- A compact bulding formed by a roof-layer containing all the<br />

secondary functions and a ground-layer accommodating the market<br />

following the traditional strategy of establishing the markets under a<br />

big shelter<br />

- An extra public space in front of the market defining a new meeting<br />

point in the district

- The utilization of an old curch next to the museum to accomodate<br />

extra spaces for the museum<br />

what did they get?<br />

- A new bulding that sorrounds the inner space of the old curch<br />

in order to leave it as an exterior area avoiding the structural and<br />

climatic problems the old building would cause<br />

- New proper exhibition halls located in simple spaces that doesn’t<br />

distract the visitors from the art exhibits<br />

- A complete study of the natural light control systems depending on<br />

the spaces and needs to optimize the energetic balance

- A ephemeral design that could accomodate different public needs<br />

in a park<br />

what did they get?<br />

- 3 basic light modules that could combine in different ways to<br />

embrace the different activities<br />

- The option of oppening the buildings to blur the limits between the<br />

park and the services they offer and create new outdoor spaces<br />

- The adoption of a triangle position to originate an inner space<br />

between the buildings instigating new relations between the users<br />

- A simple structure which can be dismantled in hours and placed<br />

almost anywhere<br />

- To rethink the central park from Barcelona and suggest a way to<br />

improve the relation between the city and the nature<br />

what did they get?<br />

- An analysis of the different situations that take place in the<br />

perimeter of one area in the park<br />

- The generation of a new walking path following a constant slope of<br />

the terrain to put in relation all the pieces that define the border<br />

- The relocation of the damaged buildings and the design of new<br />

public equipments and public spaces to make the park a focus of<br />

social activities<br />

- The oppening of new roads and paths that connect the lower part<br />

of the district with the upper part, where the park is located

- To study several problems in the old part of the town and choose a<br />

way to revitalize the urban fabric<br />

what did they get?<br />

- A map of the city showing several areas where the buildings are in<br />

poor conditions and the lack of public areas and equipments<br />

- A study of the least represented social services in the area and the<br />

social demand of the equipments<br />

- One new complex that comprehends residential buildings as well<br />

as medical and learning public equipments<br />

- A different typology of building addapted at our times but<br />

preserving the characteristic fragmentation of the area<br />

- New open air spaces to fluff up the current buildings

- 48 apartments in the border of the city<br />

- 1 coffe shop - restaurant<br />

what did they get?<br />

- Two different residential typologies: one, attached and integrated<br />

in the city; another, deatached and situated in one of the mountains<br />

slopes letting the nature pass through the buildings and improving<br />

the transition<br />

- Different public spaces in the shape of platforms that addapt to the<br />

slope and allow access to the apartments<br />

- a Coffe under one of the platforms facing a public space in the<br />

middle of the area to strengthen the social relations
