- Study the process of wine making
- Map the field-work done in the Torres winery regarding the
variables we are interested in

Market in “Les Tres Torres”
neigbourhood, 4th year

what did they ask for?
- A public market taking in account the classic typology of the
mediterranean markets
- Some other spaces with different public purposes
what did they get?
- A compact bulding formed by a roof-layer containing all the
secondary functions and a ground-layer accommodating the market
following the traditional strategy of establishing the markets under a
big shelter
- An extra public space in front of the market defining a new meeting
point in the district

MACBA enlargement, 4th year

what did they ask for?
- The utilization of an old curch next to the museum to accomodate
extra spaces for the museum
what did they get?
- A new bulding that sorrounds the inner space of the old curch
in order to leave it as an exterior area avoiding the structural and
climatic problems the old building would cause
- New proper exhibition halls located in simple spaces that doesn’t
distract the visitors from the art exhibits
- A complete study of the natural light control systems depending on
the spaces and needs to optimize the energetic balance

ARQUIA student contest, 2013
what did they ask for?
- A ephemeral design that could accomodate different public needs
in a park
what did they get?
- 3 basic light modules that could combine in different ways to
embrace the different activities
- The option of oppening the buildings to blur the limits between the
park and the services they offer and create new outdoor spaces
- The adoption of a triangle position to originate an inner space
between the buildings instigating new relations between the users
- A simple structure which can be dismantled in hours and placed
almost anywhere

central park, 4th year

what did they ask for?
- To rethink the central park from Barcelona and suggest a way to
improve the relation between the city and the nature
what did they get?
- An analysis of the different situations that take place in the
perimeter of one area in the park
- The generation of a new walking path following a constant slope of
the terrain to put in relation all the pieces that define the border
- The relocation of the damaged buildings and the design of new
public equipments and public spaces to make the park a focus of
social activities
- The oppening of new roads and paths that connect the lower part
of the district with the upper part, where the park is located

Multi-functional complex in
Valls, 4th year

what did they ask for?
- To study several problems in the old part of the town and choose a
way to revitalize the urban fabric
what did they get?
- A map of the city showing several areas where the buildings are in
poor conditions and the lack of public areas and equipments
- A study of the least represented social services in the area and the
social demand of the equipments
- One new complex that comprehends residential buildings as well
as medical and learning public equipments
- A different typology of building addapted at our times but
preserving the characteristic fragmentation of the area
- New open air spaces to fluff up the current buildings

Apartment complex in the
Poble Sec district, 3rd year

what did they ask for?
- 48 apartments in the border of the city
- 1 coffe shop - restaurant
what did they get?
- Two different residential typologies: one, attached and integrated
in the city; another, deatached and situated in one of the mountains
slopes letting the nature pass through the buildings and improving
the transition
- Different public spaces in the shape of platforms that addapt to the
slope and allow access to the apartments
- a Coffe under one of the platforms facing a public space in the
middle of the area to strengthen the social relations
