Chapter 1
The Geographical Origin of Antichrist the Beast 666
The purpose of this chapter is to examine the geographic origin of antichrist from the
biblical text. If you’re familiar with contemporary bible prophecy teaching, you have
heard it said that antichrist will be a Roman originating from the western leg of a
Revived Roman Empire. This chapter, however, will reveal that antichrist will actually
originate out of one of the four divisions of the ancient Grecian Empire or territory
once a part of the eastern leg of the Roman Empire.
Daniel’s symbolism of the 4 kingdoms and the little horn
The book of Daniel in chapter 7:4-28 describes a vision of 4 beasts or kingdoms and
a “little horn“ that came up among the 10 horns of the 4 th kingdom.
In the first year of Belshazzar king of Babylon Daniel had a dream and visions of his head upon his
bed: then he wrote the dream, and told the sum of the matters. Daniel spake and said, I saw in my
vision by night, and, behold, the four winds of the heaven strove upon th e great sea. And four great
beasts came up from the sea, diverse one from another. The first was like a lion, and had eagle’s
wings: I beheld till the wings thereof were plucked, and it was lifted up from the earth, and made
stand upon the feet as a man, and a man’s heart was given to it. And behold another beast, a
second, like to a bear, and it raised up itself on one side, and it had three ribs in the mouth of it
between the teeth of it: and they said thus unto it, Arise, devour much flesh. After this I beheld, and
lo another, like a leopard, which had upon the back of it four wings of a fowl; the beast had also four
heads; and dominion was given to it. After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast,
dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in
pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse from all the beasts that were
before it; and it had ten horns. I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up amon g them
another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and,
behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things. I beheld till
the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and
the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning
fire. A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him: thousand thousands ministered unto
him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him: the judgment was set, and the books
were opened. I beheld then because of the voice of the great words which the horn spake: I beheld
even till the beast was slain, and his body destroyed, and given to th e burning flame. As concerning
the rest of the beasts, they had their dominion taken away: yet their lives were prolonged for a
season and time. I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the
clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him. And there
was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all p eople, nations, and languages, should
serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kin gdom that
which shall not be destroyed. I Daniel was grieved in my spirit in the midst of my body, and the
visions of my head troubled me. I came near unto one of them that stood by, and asked him the
truth of all this. So he told me, and made me know the interpretation of the things. These great
beasts, which are four, are four kings, which shall arise out of the earth. But the s aints of the most
High shall take the kingdom, and possess the kingdom for ever, even for ever and ever. Then I
would know the truth of the fourth beast, which was diverse from all the others, exceeding dreadful,
whose teeth were of iron, and his nails of brass; which devoured, brake in pieces, and stamped the

esidue with his feet; And of the ten horns that were in his head, and of the other which came up,
and before whom three fell; even of that horn that had eyes, and a mouth that spake very great
things, whose look was more stout than his fellows. I beheld, and the same horn made war with the
saints, and prevailed against them; Until the Ancient of days came, and judgment was given to the
saints of the most High; and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom. Thus he said,
The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms,
and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it d own, and break it in pieces. And the ten horns
out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be
diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings. And he shall speak great words against the
most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and
they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time. But the judgment
shall sit, and they shall take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it unto the end. And the
kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be gi ven to
the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all
dominions shall serve and obey him. Hitherto is the end of the matter. As for me Daniel, my
cogitations much troubled me, and my countenance changed in me: but I kept the matter in my
heart. (Daniel 7:1-28)
Daniel 7:1-28 summarizes the symbolic imagery used to describe the 4 beasts or
kingdoms and the “little horn“ that came up among the 10 horns of the 4 th kingdom
as follows:
1 st beast: like a lion with eagle‘s wings (Daniel 7:4)
2 nd beast: like a bear (Daniel 7:5)
3 rd beast: like a leopard (Daniel 7:6)
4 th beast: 10 horns. Diverse from the other 3 beasts. “Little horn” an 11 th horn.
(Daniel 7:8-14, 19-28)
Daniel 2:28 reveals that King Nebuchadnezzar also received a vision of “what shall
be in the latter days” or at the time of the return of the Lord Jesus Christ to destroy
the kingdoms of the world to establish his everlasting kingdom.
But there is a God in heaven that revealeth secrets, and maketh known to the king Nebuchadnezzar
what shall be in the latter days. Thy dream, and the visions of thy head upon thy bed, are these;
The King’s vision recorded in Daniel 2 is of a great, bright, terrible image consisting of
a gold head, breast and arms of silver, belly and thighs of brass, iron legs and clayiron
feet.
Thou, O king, sawest, and behold a great image. This great image, whose brightness was excellent,
stood before thee; and the form thereof was terrible. This image’s head was of fine gold, his breast
and his arms of silver, his belly and his thighs of brass, His legs of iron, his feet part of iron and part
of clay. Thou sawest till that a stone was cut out without hands, which smote the image upon his feet
that were of iron and clay, and brake them to pieces. Then was the iron, the clay, the brass, the
silver, and the gold, broken to pieces together, and became like the chaff of the summer threshing
floors; and the wind carried them away, that no place was found for them: and the stone that smot e
the image became a great mountain, and filled the whole earth. (Daniel 2:31 -35)

A historical understanding of the fulfillment of Daniel 2:36-45 reveals that this great
image consists of the amalgamation of the following 4 kingdoms:
1 st: Nebuchadnezzar’s Babylon = head of gold
2 nd: Medo-Persian Empire = breast & 2 arms of silver
3 rd: Alexander the Great’s Grecian Empire = belly & 2 thighs of brass
4 th: future kingdom with 2 iron legs, 2 clay/iron feet with 10 clay/iron toes
This is the dream; and we will tell the interpret ation thereof before the king. Thou, O king, art a king
of kings: for the God of heaven hath given thee a kingdom, power, and st rength, and glory. And
wheresoever the children of men dwell, the beasts of the field and the fowls of the heaven hath he
given into thine hand, and hath made thee ruler over them all. Thou art this head of gold. And after
thee shall arise another kingdom inferior to thee, and another third kingdom of brass, which shall
bear rule over all the earth. And the fourth kingdom shall be strong as iron: forasmuch as iron
breaketh in pieces and subdueth all things: and as iron that breaketh all these, shall it brea k in
pieces and bruise. And whereas thou sawest the feet and toes, part of potters’ clay, and part of iron,
the kingdom shall be divided; but there shall be in it of the strength of the iron, forasmuch as thou
sawest the iron mixed with miry clay. And as the toes of the feet were part of iron, and part of clay,
so the kingdom shall be partly strong, and partly broken. And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with
miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to
another, even as iron is not mixed with clay. And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven
set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people,
but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever. Forasmuch
as thou sawest that the stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it brake in pieces
the iron, the brass, the clay, the silver, and the gold; the great God hath made known to the king
what shall come to pass hereafter: and the dream is certain, and the interpretation thereof sure.
The 4 th world-wide kingdom or New World Order is a future 10 nation amalgamated
by-product of the incorporation, or assimilation of the 1 st kingdom (Babylon) into the
2 nd kingdom (Medo-Persian); and the 2 nd kingdom into the 3 rd kingdom (Grecia).
The 3 rd kingdom incorporates the influence of the eastern leg or Seleucid part of the
Roman Empire, or the Byzantine Empire based upon a historical understanding of
Daniel 8:5-9, 19-25.
And as I was considering, behold, an he goat came from the west on the face of the whole earth,
and touched not the ground: and the goat had a notable horn between his eyes. And he came to
the ram that had two horns, which I had seen standing before the river, and ran unto him in the fury
of his power. And I saw him come close unto the ram, and he was moved with c holer against him,
and smote the ram, and brake his two horns: and there was no power in the ram to stand before
him, but he cast him down to the ground, and stamped upon him: and there was none that could
deliver the ram out of his hand. 8Therefore the he goat waxed very great: and when he was strong,
the great horn was broken; and for it came up four notable ones toward the four winds of heaven.
And out of one of them came forth a little horn, which waxed exceeding great, toward the south, and
toward the east, and toward the pleasant land. (Daniel 8:5-9)
And he said, Behold, I will make thee know what shall be in the last end of the indignation: for at the
time appointed the end shall be. The ram which thou sawest having two horns are the kings of
Media and Persia. And the rough goat is the king of Grecia: and the great horn that is between his
eyes is the first king. Now that being broken, whereas four stood up for it, four kingdoms shall stand

up out of the nation, but not in his power. And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the
transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences,
shall stand up. And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall destroy
wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practise, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people. And
through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnif y himself in
his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but
he shall be broken without hand. (Daniel 8:19-25)
Daniel 7:8 and 7:21 referenced earlier also describe a “little horn” which makes war
with the saints in unison with what Revelation 13:7 teaches that antichrist will do.
Daniel 8:9 and 8:23 state that the “little horn” envisioned by Daniel will originate out
of one of the four divisions of Alexander the Great’s Grecian Empire which resulted
from the break-up of Alexander the Great’s Grecian Empire at his death in 323 B.C.
Those 4 divisions of Alexander’s Empire were as follows:
Cassander, King Of Macedonia & Greece
Lysimachus, Macedonian King of Thrace & Asia Minor (modern Turkey)
Seleucus, Macedonian King over Asia including Mesopatamia (Syria, Lebanon,
Babylon)
Ptolemy, Macedonian King over Egypt, Palestine & Arabia.
The territory controlled by these 4 divisions will be the potential geographical from
which the little horn, antichrist, will originate.
“Little horn” antichrist originates out of the Eastern Leg of the Roman Empire
Much of the lands within these 4 divisions were absorbed into the eastern leg of the
Roman Empire.
Constantine the Great founded Byzantium as his capital of the New Rome in the east
in 330 A.D. In 395 A.D. the Roman Empire was divided in eastern and western
halves. The Roman conquest of Greece had shifted the population and wealth of the
Roman Empire east. Byzantium, (now Istanbul, Turkey) became later known as
Constantinople, became it’s commercial center and capital. The Eastern leg of the
Roman Empire continued at Constantinople after the western leg fell in 476 A.D. The
eastern portion or leg of the empire was stronger. It later became known as the
Greek or Byzantine Empire because the Roman element was displaced by the Greek
customs. (source: Rome: It’s Rise and Fall. Philip Van Ness Myers, L.H.D., Ginn &
The eastern leg of the Roman Empire expanded east under Constantine to include
much of the area was ruled by the successors of Alexander the Great’s Grecian
Empire. This includes the territory inhabited by modern nations such as: Turkey,
Syria, Iraq, Jordan, Egypt, Lebanon, Israel, Iran, Kuwait, Cyprus, Turkmenistan,
Azerbaijan, Armenia and the present-day countries of the Balkan Peninsula The
Balkan Peninsula generally encompasses the countries that are commonly known as
the Balkan states: Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Former Yugoslav Republic of
Macedonia, Serbia and Montenegro, Albania, Greece, and Bulgaria. Slovenia and
Romania are also sometimes included in this designation. In addition, the
southeastern part of the peninsula includes Eastern Thrace, the European part of
Turkey.
According to Daniel 8:25 this “little horn” shall stand up against the Prince of Princes
and be broken without hands.
And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself
in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes;
but he shall be broken without hand.
Revelation 1:5 describes Jesus Christ as the prince of the kings of the earth making it
clear that Daniel 8:25 is referring to Antichrist as the “little horn“ which shall “also
stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand”.
And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince
of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washe d us from our sins in his own blood,
2 Thessalonians 2:8 and Revelation 19:11-21 describe how Jesus Christ will destroy
the “little horn”, that Wicked Lawless One, antichrist the beast, the 8 th king, without
human hands.
And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth,
and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: (2 Thessa lonians 2:8)
And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful
and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on
his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. And he
was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. And the armies
which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. And
out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule
them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF K INGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.
And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fl y
in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God; That
ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of

horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and
great. And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make
war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army. And the beast was taken, and with him
the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received
the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive i nto a lake of
fire burning with brimstone. And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the
horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.
(Revelation 19:11-21)
The mere intensity of his coming and the power of the word of the Lord Jesus Christ
will consume the Antichrist and the nations in military alliance with him when Christ
returns in power and glory at the end of the age.
Daniel 2:35, 44-45 and Daniel 7:22-27 also tell us that the Lord will destroy the 4 th
kingdom. As a result, we can conclude that these passages are describing a 4 th
kingdom led by the “little horn“ antichrist. The 4 th kingdom of Daniel 2:40-45
describes the same 4 th kingdom described in Daniel 7:7-14, 19-27. We know this
because Daniel 2:44 and Daniel 7:7-12 and 7:23-27 each teach that the Lord shall
destroy this 4 th kingdom and establish his everlasting kingdom in it’s place.
And the fourth kingdom shall be strong as iron: forasmuch as iron breaketh in pieces and subdueth
all things: and as iron that breaketh all these, shall it break in pieces and bruise. And whereas thou
sawest the feet and toes, part of potters’ clay, and part of iron, the kingdom shall be divided; but
there shall be in it of the strength of the iron, forasmuch as thou sawest the iron mixed with miry
clay. And as the toes of the feet were part of iron, and part of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly
strong, and partly broken. And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle
themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed
with clay. And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall
never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces
and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever. Forasmuch as thou sawes t that the
stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it brake in pieces the iron, the brass, the
clay, the silver, and the gold; the great God hath made known to the king what shall come to pass
hereafter: and the dream is certain, and the interpretation thereof sure. (Daniel 2:40-45)
After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and te rrible, and strong
exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue
with the feet of it: and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it; and it had ten horns. I
considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom
there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, be hold, in this horn were eyes like
the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things. I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and
the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure
wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire. A fiery stream issued and
came forth from before him: thousand thousands ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten
thousand stood before him: the judgment was set, and the books were opened. I behel d then
because of the voice of the great words which the horn spake: I beheld even till the beast was slain,
and his body destroyed, and given to the burning flame. As concerning the rest of the beasts, they
had their dominion taken away: yet their lives were prolonged for a season and time. I saw in the
night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of he aven, and came to the
Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him. And there was given him dominion, and
glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an
everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.

(Daniel 7:7-14)
Then I would know the truth of the fourth beast, which was diverse from all the others, exceeding
dreadful, whose teeth were of iron, and his nails of brass; which devoured, brake in pieces, and
stamped the residue with his feet; And of the ten horns tha t were in his head, and of the other
which came up, and before whom three fell; even of that horn that had eyes, and a mouth tha t
spake very great things, whose look was more stout than his fellows. I beheld, and the same horn
made war with the saints, and prevailed against them; Until the Ancient of days came, and judgment
was given to the saints of the most High; and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom.
Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be d iverse from
all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces. And
the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them;
and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings. And he shall speak great
words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most H igh, and think to change
times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.
But the judgment shall sit, and they shall take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it unto
the end. And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven,
shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High , whose kingdom is an everlasting
kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him. (Daniel 7:19 -27)
In conclusion, this chapter has revealed that the antichrist will originate out of one of
the four divisions of Alexander the Great’s Grecian Empire. Those 4 divisions of
Alexander’s Empire were as follows:
Cassander, King Of Macedonia & Greece
Lysimachus, Macedonian King of Thrace & Asia Minor (modern Turkey)
Seleucus, Macedonian King over Asia including Mesopatamia (Syria, Lebanon,
Babylon)
Ptolemy, Macedonian King over Egypt, Palestine & Arabia.
Antichrist will originate out of the geographic region which once constituted the
eastern, not the western leg of a revived Roman Empire. This includes the territory
inhabited by modern nations such as: Turkey, Syria, Iraq, Jordan, Egypt, Lebanon,
Israel, Iran, Kuwait, Cyprus, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Armenia and the presentday
countries of the Balkan Peninsula The Balkan Peninsula generally
encompasses the countries that are commonly known as the Balkan states: Croatia,
Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Serbia and
Montenegro, Albania, Greece, and Bulgaria. Slovenia and Romania are also
sometimes included in this designation. In addition, the southeastern part of the
peninsula includes Eastern Thrace, the European part of Turkey.
To be more specific than this in attempting to identify the country from which
antichrist will originate is difficult. Since the Antichrist is called the Assyrian and the
King of Babylon in the Old Testament, it seems logical that he might originate from
either the nation of Iraq or Syria. The historical type of antichrist is Antiochus IV;
commonly known as Antiochus Epiphanes of Syria. This madman was prophesied of
in Daniel 11:21-35. In it’s dual context, Daniel 11:21-35 finds it’s final fulfillment in

antichrist. In 170 B.C. Antiochus ravaged Jerusalem and the temple, enslaving the
Jews. He prohibited temple sacrifice, placing an alter to Jupiter in the temple upon
which a pig was sacrificed. He executed those Jews who refused to participate in this
false Greek pagan worship. Will history witness the return of an “Antiochus
Epiphanes“, a Syrian, as antichrist? Or will the 7 th king, the King of Babylon; the ruler
of Babylon The Great; a President of the U.S.; experience a fatal wound in the
destruction of the U.S. empire only to be resurrected as the 8 th king ruling from Iraq
and or Jerusalem? As the late student of prophecy, Herb Peters from
www.fulfilledprophecy.com and author of Recommendation 666 used to say…stay
tuned!

Chapter 2
The Identity of the Beast
In Revelation 13:1-10, John describes a parallel vision to Daniel’s vision of the beast
recorded in Daniel 7. John’s vision of the beast is described as follows:
And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads
and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy . And the
beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as
the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority. And I saw
one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world
wondered after the beast. And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and
they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?
And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given
unto him to continue forty and two months. And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to
blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven. And it was given unto him
to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and
tongues, and nations. And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not
written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. If any man have an
ear, let him hear. He that leadeth into captivity shall go into capti vity: he that killeth with the sword
must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.
John’s statement recorded in verse 1 of this prophecy, “I stood upon the sand of the
sea”, is a literal reference to John’s exiled state on the Isle of Patmos on the
Mediterranean Sea where he is receiving the vision of the beast. His words, “And I
stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea”, should be
interpreted literally, not figuratively. One of the cardinal rules of biblical
hermeneutics, or the proper interpretation of the scriptures, is to take the scripture
literally unless we’re told to do otherwise. When these words are interpreted literally
they reveal the geographic origin of the beast antichrist as being the region
surrounding the Isle of Patmos where John was standing.
Patmos is a rocky island off the west coast of Asia Minor in the Aegean Sea, about 37
miles southwest of Miletus in Turkey. Athens, Greece is located on the Aegean Sea.
Albania and Macedonia are to the west, but not on the Aegean Sea. Italy is located
further west across the Adriatic and Ionian Seas and isn‘t located on the Aegean Sea.
Bulgaria, Yugoslavia, Romania, Bosnia, Serbia, are to the north, but not on the
Aegean Sea either. Turkey and Greece are the closest countries to Patmos which are
located on the Aegean Sea.
The beast is a dangerous, brutal, savage entity
The word beast used in Revelation 13:1 is the Greek noun therion. It’s gender is

neuter. Neuter gender would indicate that the beast being envisioned isn’t a person
because it’s not a male or female noun. The neuter noun therion refers to a
dangerous, brutal, savage entity.
This beast is said to rise up. Rise up is the verbal adjective or participle anabainon.
It’s in the aorist tense, accusative case. The aorist tense of this verbal adjective or
participle indicates John saw the completed vision in the past. The passive voice
indicates that the subject is the beast which John saw rise up. John saw the beast
spring up or be born up, ascend up out of the sea where he was standing.
A literal interpretation of this verse teaches that the beast will originate from the
geographical area of the Aegean Sea or the current geographical regions of Greece to
the west or Turkey/Asia Minor where John received the vision.
Imagery used to describe the beast
Like Daniel’s vision of the 4 th beast recorded in Daniel 7:3-7, John uses the imagery
of a lion, bear, leopard and 10 horns to describe the beast of Revelation 13:1-10.
And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his
mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.
And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his
mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.
(Revelation 13:1,2)
And four great beasts came up from the sea, diverse one from another. The first was like a lion, and
had eagle’s wings: I beheld till the wings thereof were plucked, and it was lifted up fro m the earth,
and made stand upon the feet as a man, and a man’s heart was given to it. And behold another
beast, a second, like to a bear, and it raised up itself on one side, and it had three ribs in the mouth
of it between the teeth of it: and they said thus unto it, Arise, devour much flesh. After this I beheld,
and lo another, like a leopard, which had upon the back of it four wings of a fowl; the beast had also
four heads; and dominion was given to it. After this I saw in the night visions, and behol d a fourth
beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and
brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse from all the beasts
that were before it; and it had ten horns. (Daniel 7:3-7)
John’s beast is the same beast described in Daniel 7:19--27 because both beasts
successfully war with the saints in the context of the last days before Christ returns.
Daniel describes this beast as a horn, the “little horn”. John describes him as a
beast.
I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them; Until the
Ancient of days came, and judgment was given to the saints of the most High; and the time came
that the saints possessed the kingdom. (Daniel 7:21-22)
And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was
given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. (Revelation 13:7)

John’s vision recorded in Revelation 13:1-5 rounds out the imagery of the 4 th beast
which Daniel described in the following way:
Beast like a leopard = Grecian Empire in Daniel 2:32,39; 7:6 and 8:3-8, 21-22
2 Feet like a bear = Medo-Persian Empire in Daniel 2:32,39; 7:5 and 8:3-7,20
Mouth like a lion = Babylon in Daniel 2:38 and 7:4
10 horns
7 heads
Revelation 13:2 includes the 10 horn imagery from Daniel 7:7 with crowns on the
horns while adding a 7 head image.
10 horns (with crowns)
7 heads
Symbolism of the 7 heads of the beast
Revelation 13:1 tells us that the beast has 7 heads and ten horns.
And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads
and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.
Revelation 17:3 and 17:9-13 show that the 7 heads of the beast represent 7
blasphemous kings.
So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upo n a scarlet
coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. (Revelation 17:3)
And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the
woman sitteth. And there are seven kings: five are fallen , and one is, and the other is not yet come;
and when he cometh, he must continue a short space. And the beast that was, and is not, even he is
the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition. And the ten horns which thou sawest are
ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the
beast. These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast. (Revelation
17:9-13)
Kings is the greek word basileus which means a commander, a leader of the people
or lord of the land. It can also refer to the kingdoms of the kings.
In Revelation 17:10-11, 5 of these 7 blasphemous kings are described as “fallen“.
The word fallen is the greek word pipto. Pipto means to descend from a high place to
a lower and come to an end. In other words, these 5 kings are past rulers and or
their kingdoms.
And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he
cometh, he must continue a short space. And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth,
and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition.

The 5 past blasphemous “kings” are considered by many Bible prophecy teachers to
be the following empires:
Egyptian (3100-1491 BC)
Assyrian (884-612 BC)
Babylonian (612-539 BC)
Medo-Persian (539-331 BC)
Grecian (331-44 BC)
Because the prophet Daniel wrote of 4 world kingdoms in his visions recorded in
Daniel 2 and 7, not 7 or 8 world kingdoms, it’s logical that the 7 heads may
represent blasphemous kings. If they do, then the 5 past blasphemous kings could
be 5 of the following 6 rulers:
Pharaoh of Egypt at the time of the Exodus
Sennacharib of Assyria
Ithobaal II of Tyre
Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon
Alexander the Great of Grecia
Antiochus IV Epiphanes of Syria
“One is”: Domitian, not Nero
The words “one is” in Revelation 17:10 describes the Roman Empire (27 B.C.-476
A.D.) and or Domitian.
And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he
cometh, he must continue a short space.
Domitian was the last of the 12 Caesars who reigned over the empire from 81-96
A.D. Domitian led the Roman Empire when it’s believed John wrote the vision
recorded in Revelation about 96 A.D.
Some have believed that John wrote the book of Revelation around 68-69 A.D.
shortly after Nero died. Even if this dating was correct, Nero wouldn’t have been in
power at the time of John’s writing and wouldn‘t fit as the “one is“ of Revelation
17:10.
7 th and 8 th Kings
The 7 th king is described in Revelation 17:10 as “not yet come”; and when he
cometh, he must continue (meno-to remain) a short space (oligos-short time).

And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he
cometh, he must continue a short space.
In other words, the 7 th king is a future king and or kingdom that will remain in power
a relatively short time compared to the other 6. This king and or kingdom will precede
the 8 th and final earthly king, the beast 666 himself, antichrist. It’s possible that the
7 th king is the king of Babylon The Great since Babylon the Great is the great city that
reigns over the kings of the earth before her destruction. (Revelation 17:18) If this is
true, and the U.S. is Babylon, then a President of the U.S. would be the 7 th king and
the destruction of Babylon could be the fatal wound to his kingdom.
Revelation 13:2 states that the ruling power of the 8 th king, the beast antichrist, is
given to him by the dragon. This dragon is identified in Revelation 12 as Satan where
the Devil is described as having 7 heads and 10 horns.
And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his
mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and g reat authority.
(Revelation 13:2)
And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven head s
and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads. And the great dragon was cast out, that old
serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the
earth, and his angels were cast out with him. (Revelation 12:3,9)
The crowns upon the 10 kings symbolize that these 10 kings don’t rule globally until
they destroy the world’s preeminent superpower, Babylon the Great, the United
States of America. After they destroy the United States, these 10 kings willingly
submit themselves to be ruled by the global dictatorial authority of the beast
antichrist, the 8 th king.
And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he
cometh, he must continue a short space. And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth,
and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition. And the ten horns which thou sawest are te n kings,
which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast. These
have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast. And the ten horns which
thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked,
and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire. For God hath put in their hearts to ful fil his will, and to
agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled. And the
woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth. (Revelation
13: 10-13, 16-18)
Interpreting the common imagery of Daniel 7 and Revelation 13
The common imagery of the lion, leopard, bear and 10 horns shared between John’s
vision of Revelation 13:1-10 and Daniel’s vision of Daniel 7:3-7 indicates the
assimilation of each of the previous 3 kingdoms into the kingdom of their successor.

In other words, the 4 th and final form of world government will consist of 10 nations
or kingdoms led by the 8 th king, antichrist the beast 666. This New World Order or the
4 th world-wide kingdom is the 10 nation by-product of the incorporation or
assimilation of the 1 st kingdom (Babylon) into the 2 nd kingdom (Medo-Persian); and
the 2 nd kingdom into the 3 rd kingdom (Grecia). The 3 rd kingdom incorporates the
influence of the eastern leg or Seleucid part of the Roman Empire, or the Byzantine
Empire based upon a historical understanding of Daniel 8:5-9,21-23.
When we correlate the 3 visions of the final world-wide kingdom; the 4 th kingdom of
Daniel 2 and 7 and the vision of Daniel 8 with the beast kingdom of Revelation 13:1-
5, we can conclude the following concerning the character of the 4 th kingdom, the
beast of Revelation 13:1-10:
Aggressive, Authoritative, Military Government like the Grecian Empire
First, the government of the beast will be characterized by an aggressive,
authoritative, military rule like the government of Alexander the Great’ s Grecian
Empire. This is gleaned from the following scriptures and a historical knowledge of
the Grecian Empire.
And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard…(Revelation 13:2)
After this I beheld, and lo another, like a leopard, which had upon the back of it four wings of a
fowl; the beast had also four heads; and dominion was given to it. (Daniel 7:6)
And as I was considering, behold, an he goat came from the west on the face of the whole earth,
and touched not the ground: and the goat had a notable horn between his eyes. And he came t o the
ram that had two horns, which I had seen standing before the river, and ran unto him in the fury of
his power. And I saw him come close unto the ram, and he was moved with choler against him, and
smote the ram, and brake his two horns: and there was no power in the ram to stand before him, but
he cast him down to the ground, and stamped upon him: and there was none that could deliver the
ram out of his hand. Therefore the he goat waxed very great: and when he was strong, the great horn
was broken; and for it came up four notable ones toward the four winds of heaven. And out of one
of them came forth a little horn, which waxed exceeding great, toward the south, and toward the
east, and toward the pleasant land.
Now that being broken, whereas four stood up for it (note added: succeeding
the first king of Grecia, Alexander the Great), four kingdoms shall stand up out of the nation, but
not in his power. And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the
full, a king of fierce countenance and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up. And his
power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper,
and practise, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people. And through his policy also he shall
cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall
destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without
hand. (Daniel 8:19-25)

Leopard-like qualities of the beast
Revelation 13:2 tells us that the beast empire will be like unto a leopard. Daniel 7:6
also described the Grecian Empire as being like a leopard. A leopard is strong,
mobile, fast and fierce like Alexander the Great’s Grecian Empire was. Alexander the
Great believed himself to be divinely chosen and rapidly united the east and the west
of his day. He swiftly conquered half his world in 12 years and 8 months. His
conquests spread Greek culture throughout the world.
The Grecian Empire was war-like and governed by military authorities. Thus, we can
conclude that the 4 th kingdom of the beast will quickly and aggressively extend it’s
military authority and antichristian culture world-wide.
Greedy, Devouring, Bureaucratic Government like the Medo-Persian
Empire
Secondly, the empire of the beast will also be characterized by a greedy, self-serving
bureaucracy like that of the Medo-Persian Empire. Consider the following scriptures
and the nature of the bear:
“and his feet were as the feet of a bear” (Revelation 13:2)
“And behold another beast, a second, like to a bear (Daniel 7:5)
Bear-like qualities of the beast
The bear is a slow, yet powerful and greedy animal which devours victims in it’s
powerful death hug. The Medo-Persian government employed nobles and princes to
make irrevocable laws confirmed by the king. The Medo-Persian military used large
numbers of troops to bring it’s prey under control. It brought differing nations
together into one kingdom as unequal partners as the Persians gained superiority
over the Medes.
The feet of the beast empire will consist of the 10 toes or kings which will govern
their jurisdictions under the dictatorial power of antichrist. As the Persians gained
superiority over the Medes, there will be an imbalance of governmental power
between the 10 nations. In spite of this imbalance, these kings will be of one mind or
purpose in serving the beast. These 10 toes of the bear or the 10 kings of the beast
will remain united under antichrist’s lordship. They will extend their greedy, devouring
death hug of bureaucratic control over the brittle democracies they control for
antichrist.

And the fourth kingdom shall be strong as iron: forasmuch as iron breaketh in pieces and subdueth
all things: and as iron that breaketh all these, shall it break in pieces and bruise. And whereas thou
sawest the feet and toes, part of potters’ clay, and part of iron, the kingdom shall be divided; but
there shall be in it of the strength of the iron, fo rasmuch as thou sawest the iron mixed with miry
clay. And as the toes of the feet were part of iron, and part of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly
strong, and partly broken. And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle
themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed
with clay. (Daniel 2:40-43)
And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but
receive power as kings one hour with the beast. These have one mind, and shall give their power
and strength unto the beast. (Revelation 17:12 -13)
Dictatorial power like Nebuchadnezzar’s Babylonian Empire
Thirdly, the beast empire will be a powerful dictatorship like Nebuchadnezzar’s
Babylonian Empire was.
“and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great
authority“. (Revelation 13:2)
Lion-like qualities of the beast
Revelation 13:2 describes the mouth of the beast as being like a lion’s mouth. The
lion is known as the king of beasts, a powerful, roaring, flesh devouring royal
authority within the animal kingdom. 1 Peter 5:8 describes the devil as a devouring,
roaring lion.
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking
whom he may devour:
Nebuchadnezzar’s Babylonian empire is described as being like a lion in Daniel 7:4.
The first was like a lion, and had eagle’s wings: I beheld till the wings thereof were plucked, and it
was lifted up from the earth, and made stand upon the feet as a man, and a man’s heart was given
to it. (Daniel 7:4)
Nebuchadnezzar was the first Gentile world ruler. He ruled despotically as an
absolute monarch unaccountable to men. He captured and destroyed Jerusalem and
the Jewish temple. He exiled the Jews to Babylon as slaves. He set up a 60 cubit high
by 6 cubit wide gold image in Babylon. He established a mandatory global worship
service of the image led by all kinds of music and legally established a death penalty
for those who refused to worship the image. (Daniel 3:1-11)
In Revelation 13, the mouth of the beast is identified as speaking arrogant things like
blasphemies against God and his authority, dead and living Christians, heaven and

Christianity.
And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given
unto him to continue forty and two months. And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to
blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven. (Revelation 13:5-6)
This mouth will wage a 3 ½ year war against the followers of Jesus Christ who refuse
to worship him and his image.
And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given
him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. (Revelation 13:7)
He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with
the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints. (Revelation 13:10)
Daniel 7:21,25; Revelation 6:9-11, 7:9-17, 12:7-17, 20:4; Matthew 24:9 and Mark
13:9 also describe the period of antichrist’s war with the saints.
Like Nebuchadnezzar, the despotic, dictatorial antichrist will penalize with death
those who refuse to worship him or his image, or refuse to receive the mark, his
name or his number.
And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, t hat the image of the beast should both
speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be kille d. And he
causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right
hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the
name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding
count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is S ix hundred
threescore and six. (Revelation 13:15-18)
And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto the m: and I saw the souls
of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not
worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in
their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. (Revelation 20:4)
Analyzing current government policy trends in light of biblical prophecy, it seems
likely that even before the beast is revealed, true believers in Jesus Christ will be
categorized as intolerant and or terrorists by hate crime legislation. True believers
who refuse to compromise the authority of God’s word and align themselves with
corrupt, unbiblical public policy will be identified and tracked as terrorists and enemy
combatants of the state. They will be unconstitutionally declared guilty of crimes
against the state because of their refusal to align their voice with hate crime
legislation outlawing the whole counsel of God’s word. In addition, at a later date,
true believers which remain and refuse to integrate into the beast’s global ID system
will suffer economically and physically for their refusal to worship the beast and
support his antichristian policies and beliefs.

The coming global dictator antichrist will consider you to be either with him or against
him. He will demand your pledge of allegiance. His thought police will track and
identify those who attempt to live outside his “box”.
According to scripture, the future global ID system will include a mark in the right
hand or forehead, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name, 666; not
616.
And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both
speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed. And he
causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right
hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the
name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding
count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred
threescore and six. (Revelation 13:15-18)
The word mark used in the scripture is the greek word chargma. It’s meaning is
associated with carved sculpture. It’s a scratch, etching or imprinted mark made in
the right hand or forehead of the person who pledges their allegiance to the beast.
According to Revelation 13:16-18 it will be a legal requirement for participation in the
world economy during the reign of the beast antichrist. Already we see government
and media conditioning the masses to accept a secure means of personal
identification which will resolve issues associated global terrorism, missing persons,
credit card and ID theft, medical records and health care. The government of the U.S.
is leading the world in the development of the technology which will be required to
NEWS BRIEF: "R.F.I.D. in the U.S.A", by Ivan Schneider, Bank Systems and
Technology Online, September 1, 2003.
"Have you ever felt impatient when standing behind someone in line at the grocery store
who insisted on paying by check? ... Contactless cards, already used in Asia for several
transit and payment systems, have been introduced to the United States via pilot programs
sponsored by American Express and MasterCard. These 'proximity payment' systems use
Radio Frequency ID (RFID) technology that can essentially provide a consumer with a
portable antenna that transmits an encrypted number when brought near a secure merchant
terminal."
It may simply be a tatooed occult symbol, a microchip implant, or some combination
of the two which is knowingly received as a blasphemous, unforgivable, hell binding
pledge of allegiance and worship to the beast antichrist.
Conclusion
In concluding this chapter, we have seen that the blasphemous global empire of the
8 th king, antichrist the beast, will be characterized by the following traits:

Dictatorial power like Nebuchadnezzar’s Babylonian Empire
Greedy, devouring, bureaucratic government like the Medo-Persian Empire
Aggressive, authoritative, military government like the Grecian Empire
How is this beast revealed to the world as it’s king. Revelation 13:3-4 tells us that
one of the 7 heads of the beast is violently put to death but is then healed to the
world’s amazement.
And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all
the world wondered after the beast. And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the
beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war
with him?
The next chapter will look at the meaning of the deadly wound and healing of one of
the 7 heads of the beast. It will show how this healing is related to the revealing of
antichrist, the 8 th king.

Chapter 3
The healing of the beast’s deadly wound and the abomination of
desolation
This chapter will examine a future military event which propels the antichrist beast
into the forefront of future world news. At some point in his rise to power this beast is
apparently destroyed militarily. Following that apparent defeat, he rises again
militarily to surround and capture Jerusalem. This chapter will look at the amazing
healing of the deadly wound of the beast and his abomination of desolation.
Revelation 13:3 states concerning the beast:
And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and
all the world wondered after the beast.
The word wounded literally means to put to death by violence. Notice that it’s one of
the 7 heads of the beast which has this experience. It’s not his head that experiences
this apparently deadly wound. It’s one of his 7 heads. These 7 heads represent 7
blasphemous kingdoms and their kings rulers according to Revelation 17:10.
The 7 heads are 7 blasphemous kingdoms and their kings
Revelation 13:1 says John “saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having 7 heads and
ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of
blasphemy“.
And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads
and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.
(Revelation 13:1)
What do these 7 heads refer to? Do they refer to the 7 hills of Rome and thus the
Roman Empire?
The 7 heads can’t refer to 7 emperors of the Roman Empire because there has been
more than 7 emperors of Rome historically. These 7 heads are clearly identified in
Revelation 17:9-10 as 7 kings. No where in scripture are these heads said to
represent the 7 hills of Rome and the Roman Empire. This teaching is another false,
underlying presupposition of modern pre-millennial rapture Bible prophecy teaching.
It doesn’t stand up against a thorough, unbiased analysis of the biblical text as will
be shown in the paragraphs to follow.
First, consider Revelation 17:9 which states:

And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the
woman sitteth.
The following verse says:
And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he
cometh, he must continue a short space. (Revelation 17:10)
The words “there are” in Revelation 17:10 were translated to English from the Greek
eisin which is from the root verb eimi meaning “to be”. Eimi is present tense, third
person plural meaning “they are“. This verifies that the 7 heads represent 7 kings,
not 7 hills. This is clearly stated in the New American Standard translation of
Revelation 17:9-10 which reads,
“…the 7 heads are 7 mountains on which the woman sits, and they are 7 kings (basileus- a
commander, leader of the people or lord of the land)…”
Secondly, Revelation 17:9 tells us that the 7 heads are 7 mountains, not 7 hills. The
word mountain (oros) is used for the Hebrew word har here. The Greeks and Romans
used the word hill (bounos), not mountain (oros), when referring to the 7 hills Rome was
built upon.
Third, in the Old Testament the word mountain (har) was symbolically used to describe
a national kingdom. In Jeremiah 51:25, har is used figuratively to describe Babylon
as a “destroying mountain“. Mountain symbolizes Babylon’s destructive military
power.
Behold, I am against thee, O destroying mountain, saith the LORD, which destroyest all the earth:
and I will stretch out mine hand upon thee, and roll thee down from the rocks, and will make thee a
burnt mountain. And they shall not take of thee a stone for a corner, nor a stone for foundations;
but thou shalt be desolate for ever, saith the LORD. Set ye up a standard in the land, blow the
trumpet among the nations, prepare the nations against her, call together against her the kingdoms
of Ararat, Minni, and Ashchenaz; appoint a captain against her; cause the horses to come up as the
rough caterpillers. Prepare against her the nations with the kings of the Medes, the captains thereof,
and all the rulers thereof, and all the land of his dominion. And the land shall tremble and sorrow:
for every purpose of the LORD shall be performed against Babylon, to make the land of Babylon a
desolation without an inhabitant. (Jeremiah 51:25 -29)
Throughout Daniel 2:35-45 the Hebrew word tur, literally meaning mountain, is used
figuratively to describe the future kingdom of God.
Then was the iron, the clay, the brass, the silver, and the gold, broken to pieces together, and
became like the chaff of the summer threshingfloors; and the wind carried them away, that no place
was found for them: and the stone that smote the image became a great mountain, and filled the
whole earth. This is the dream; and we will tell the interpretation thereof before the king. Thou, O
king, art a king of kings: for the God of heaven hath given thee a kingdom, power, and strength, and
glory. And wheresoever the children of men dwell, the beasts of the field and the fowls of the heaven

hath he given into thine hand, and hath made thee ruler over them all. Thou art this head of gold.
39And after thee shall arise another kingdom inferior to thee, and another third kingdom of brass,
which shall bear rule over all the earth. And the fourth kingdom shall be strong as iron: forasmuch as
iron breaketh in pieces and subdueth all things: and a s iron that breaketh all these, shall it break in
pieces and bruise.
Forasmuch
as thou sawest that the stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it brake in
pieces the iron, the brass, the clay, the silver, and the gold; the great God hath made known to the
king what shall come to pass hereafter: and the dream is certain, and the interpretation thereof
sure.
Again, the 7 heads spoken of in Revelation 17:9-10 are described as being both 7
mountains and 7 kings.
And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the
woman sitteth. And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come;
and when he cometh, he must continue a short space. (Revelation 17:9 -10)
Thus, for these reasons we can conclude that the 7 heads refer to 7 kingdoms and
their kings. An example of this use of language would’ve been to refer to Iraq as
“Hussein’s Iraq“.
7 Blasphemous kings, not 7 blasphemous hills
In addition, Revelation 12:3 tells us that the 7 horns or kings have 7 crowns.
Revelation 13:1 tells us that the 7 heads have a blasphemous name upon them. This
is further evidence that the 7 hills of Rome aren’t being described here. It’s people,
not hills, that would be described as blasphemous. Hills possess no inherent moral
character.
And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads
and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads. (Revelation 12:3)
And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads
and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.
(Revelation 13:1)
The name (onoma) of blasphemy (blasphemia) upon the 7 heads or kings is more than
an identification label. Historically, names were part of the personality of the one
bearing the name. 1 Samuel 25:25 illustrates this concept that “as a man is named,
so he is“. The name of blasphemy attached to the 7 heads or kings symbolizes their
overall personality as being arrogantly opposed to God.

Revelation 12:3 and 9 link the great red dragon, Satan, with the scarlet beast of
Revelation 17:3 having 7 heads and 10 horns.
And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads
and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads. (Revelation 12:3)
And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which decei veth the
whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. (Revelation 12:9)
These blasphemous kings scoff, slander and speak evil of God and his people
because they’re possessed by Satan. Revelation 13:5-7; 2 Timothy 3:1-7 and 2 Peter
3:3 describe their blasphemous character which is characteristic of the general
behavior of people in the last days just before the Lord Jesus Christ returns to earth.
And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphe mies; and power was given
unto him to continue forty and two months. And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to
blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven. And it was given unto him
to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and
tongues, and nations. (Revelation 13:5-7)
This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own
selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without
natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are
good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of
godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. For of this sort are they which creep
into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, Ever learning,
and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. (2 Timo thy 3:1-7)
Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And
saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as
they were from the beginning of the creation. (2 Peter 3:3-4)
Revelation 17:3 describes a scarlet colored beast with 7 heads and 10 horns full of
names of blasphemy.
So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet
coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.
This scarlet beast is the beast of Revelation 13:1-10. This description of beast as
being scarlet colored refers more to the sinful character of the beast rather than it’s
honor and authority. In context, the scarlet color of the beast is more representative
of the vile nature of the beast. This nature is characterized by the beast’s arrogant
opposition and slanderous, authoritative evil speaking towards God.
The 10 kings of the scarlet beast destroy Babylon the Great, the world’s preeminent
superpower at that time, and then willingly submit their power to the authority of the
beast. This transition from Babylon the Great‘ s global leadership in the world’s

capitalistic free trade system to a global dictatorship under the beast’s one world
mark of the beast 666 system is shown in Revelation 17:12-18:24. Is it possible that
the 7 th king is the ruler of Babylon The Great, a President of the U.S., who becomes
the 8 th king, Antichrist The Beast 666 after the U.S. homeland is destroyed? This
biblically based theory is explored in detail in the study of Zechariah 5 found on this
site.
Again, the seven heads represent 7 vile, blasphemous political rulers and their
kingdoms which are arrogantly opposed to God. One of these 7 heads or kings and
their kingdom is apparently destroyed and then healed according to Revelation 13:3
and 17:8.
The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into
perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, wh ose names were not written in the book
of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet
is. (Revelation 17:8)
And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and
all the world wondered after the beast. (Revelation 13:3)
Revelation 13:3 teaches that the antichristian world is amazed after the beast and
his forces are apparently destroyed because the beast recovers from this apparent
defeat.
Recall that the scarlet beast of Revelation 17:3, which becomes the global empire
led by the beast antichrist, consists of 7 heads and 10 horns. It’s one of these 7
heads that is apparently destroyed.
The antichristian world is marvelously amazed that the king (beast) survives what
apparently was a deadly military attack upon one of his 7 heads. Not only does this
king survive what appeared to be a “deadly wound with the sword“ or a fatal military
attack to his kingdom; it appears that he is transformed by the power of the spirit
king Destroyer named Apollyon/Abaddon and born out of the abyss to become the
destroyer antichrist, the 8 th king, the beast 666. Thus the beast is said to “go into
perdition” or utter destruction. This transformation is examined in the chapter
entitled,
So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet
coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. The beast that thou
sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and
they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book o f life from the
foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is. And here is the
mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth. And
there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he
cometh, he must continue a short space. And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth,
and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition. (Revelation 17:3, 8-11)

The deadly wound
I believe that the deadly wound of Revelation 13:3 may be found within the end-time
prophecy of antichrist’s the beast 666’s rise to power found in Daniel 11:21-35.
Some feel these verses were fulfilled only in the Syrian king Antiochus IV Epiphanes
during the time period covering 175-164 B.C. Antiochus IV can be considered to be a
type of antichrist much like Joseph in the Old Testament is considered a type or
illustration of Christ. Joseph is considered to be a type of Christ because of the
common parallels between the events of Joseph’s and Jesus’ life. Likewise Daniel
11:21-35 parallels the reign of Antiochus IV while being couched in the context of the
appointed “time of the end”. This time of the end includes the time when this vile
king places the abomination that maketh desolate in Jerusalem as described in the
context of the 70 th week of Daniel, the time of the end, according to Daniel 11:27-31;
Matthew 24:15; Mark 13:14 and Luke 21:20. Also, Daniel 11:27 speaks of the end
of this king’s reign being at the time appointed. The same king’s end is spoken of in
Daniel 11:45 which is clearly in the context of the “time of the end” according to
Daniel 11:40 and Daniel 12:1. Daniel 12:1 teaches that these events occur at the
time just before and during “a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a
nation even to that same time“. This most troublesome time of world history which
includes the abomination of desolation spoken of by Daniel according to Jesus,
includes “great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this
time, no, nor shall ever be” according to Matthew 24:15-21. Mark 13:14-19 and
Luke 21:20-23. Revelation 7:9-17 speaks of great tribulation that Christ’s body, the
elect, the body of Christ, his church, or his true believer’s will endure until this period
is ended for the sake of the elect, the church. This great tribulation for the elect, the
church, occurs immediately before the judgments associated with the day of the
Lord’s wrath upon the earth and his return in power and great glory to the earth
according to Matthew 24:29-31, Mark 13:24-27, Luke 21:25-28, Revelation 6:12-
17, Joel 2:1-11, Isaiah 2:12-22 and 13:9-13.
This vile antichrist’s army is destroyed and swept away after he begins an apparently
successful rise to power. His initial rise to power is described in Daniel 11:21-24.
After this rise, his forces are destroyed according to Daniel 11:26. His forces
return from this fatal defeat, however, and proceed to place the abomination that
maketh desolate in Jerusalem.
And in his estate shall stand up a vile person, to whom they shall not give the honour of the

kingdom: but he shall come in peaceably, and obtain the kingdom by flatteries. And with the arms of
a flood shall they be overflown from before him, and shall be broken; yea, also the prince of the
covenant. And after the league made with him he shall work deceitfully: for he shall come up, and
shall become strong with a small people. He shall enter peaceably even upon the fattest places of
the province; and he shall do that which his fathers have not done, nor his fathers’ fathe rs; he shall
scatter among them the prey, and spoil, and riches: yea, and he shall forecast his devices against
the strong holds, even for a time. And he shall stir up his power and his courage against the king of
the south with a great army; and the king of the south shall be stirred up to battle with a very great
and mighty army; but he shall not stand: for they shall forecast devices against him. Yea, they that
feed of the portion of his meat shall destroy him, and his army shall overflow: and many shall fall
down slain. (Daniel 11:21-26)
Another possibility is that the deadly wound of Revelation 13:3 will be the destruction
of Babylon The Great, the U.S. preceding the rise of her President to become the 8 th
king, Antichrist the Beast 666.
The abomination of desolation: antichrist’s armies surrounding Jerusalem
The abomination that maketh desolate is the movement of antichrist’s armed forces
into the city of Jerusalem to surround and capture it. It’s a separate abominable act
from the revealing of Antichrist described below in 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4.
That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor b y word, nor by letter as
from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall
not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of
perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so
that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. (2 Thessalonians 2:2-4)
Please take note that 2 Thessalonians 2:2-4 never specifically mentions the biblical
term “abomination of desolation“. Modern pre-millennial rapture bible prophecy
teachers have logically, but incorrectly superimposed the biblical concept of the
abomination of desolation upon this text. This misconception is an important tool in
Satan’s end time deception. Satan knows that the herd won’t resist what they don’t
understand to be evil. If the professing church understood that the abomination of
desolation involved military action in Israel which will drive the Jews out of their land,
she would be more likely to raise her voice in protest against any move by world
leaders to displace the Jewish people from their promised land. Instead, because we
have been blinded to the true activities of antichrist, we see the majority of the
professing church supporting the antichristian U.S./President Bush led “Roadmap to
Peace” which has displaced Jews from their homes. In my opinion, after watching the
professing American church vote this wolf in sheep’s clothing into office and support
him as the “lesser of 2 evils“, I believe Satan must be thinking that it’s about time to
make his final end time move into Jerusalem. After all, he sees he’s been able to use
a professing christian president of the world’s #1 superpower to deceitfully drive the
Jews out of their God promised land
An examination of scriptures directly referring to the abomination of desolation

eveals that the abomination of desolation referred to by Daniel and Jesus is the
surrounding of Jerusalem by antichrist’s armies. That is seen in the parallel accounts
of Jesus’ teaching on the abomination of desolation in concert with the slight
variation of Luke 21:20 compared to Matthew 24:15 and Mark 13:9. Daniel 11:31-
12:1 also sheds light on the topic.
When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet,
stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) Then let them which be in Judea flee
into the mountains: Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his
house: Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his cl othes. And woe unto them that
are with child, and to them that give suck in those days! But pray ye that your flight be not in t he
winter, neither on the sabbath day: For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the
beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be
shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.
(Matthew 24:15-22)
But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing
where it ought not, (let him that readeth understand,) then let them that be in Judaea flee to the
mountains: And let him that is on the housetop not go down into the house, neither enter therein, to
take any thing out of his house: And let him that is in the field not turn back again for to take up his
garment. But woe to them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days! And pray ye
that your flight be not in the winter. For in those days shall be affliction, such as was not from the
beginning of the creation which God created unto this time, neither shall be. And except that the
Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved: but for the elect’s sake, whom he hath
chosen, he hath shortened the days. (Mark 13:14-20)
And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation
thereof is nigh. Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in
the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto. For these be
the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled. But woe unto them that
are with child, and to them that give suck, in those days! for there shall be great distress in the
land, and wrath upon this people. And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led
away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the
times of the Gentiles be fulfilled. (Luke 21:20-24)
And arms (forces) shall stand on his part, and they shall pollute the sanctuary of strength, and
shall take away the daily sacrifice, and they shall place the abomination that maketh desolate.
And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do
know their God shall be strong, and do exploits. And they that understand among the people shall
instruct many: yet they shall fall by the sword, and by flame, by captivity, and by spoil, many days.
Now when they shall fall, they shall be holpen with a little help: but many shall cleave to them with
flatteries. And some of them of understanding shall fall, to try them, and to purge, and to make them
white, even to the time of the end: because it is yet for a time appointed. And the king shall do
according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall
speak marvellous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be
accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done… And he sha ll plant the tabernacles of his
palace between the seas in the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and none sh all
help him. And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children
of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation
even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be
found written in the book. (Daniel 11:31 -36, 45-12:1)
These scriptures indicate that the gentile armies commanded by antichrist will bring

great distress and wrath upon the land of Israel. Antichrist’s armed forces will
surround Jerusalem. Many occupying the land of Israel at that time will be conquered
with many being taken away as hostages to foreign nations. This abomination of
desolation which occurs in Jerusalem as a result of the military action of antichrist’s
armed forces occurs after the apparent destruction of antichrist’s forces which is
described in Daniel 11:21-26. It’s evidence to the antichristian world that an amazing
healing to the “deadly wound” of antichrist has just occurred.
The healing of the deadly wound
The surprise comeback of the beast’s forces from what appeared to be their fatal
wounding or destruction to proceed to surround and take Jerusalem generates a cry
of awe from the antichristian world. This response is recorded in Revelation 13:3-4:
And I saw one of his (7) heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and
all the world wondered after the beast. And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the
beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to
make war with him?
The world-wide praise and worship given to the beast results from his amazing
military recovery from apparent destruction to capture Jerusalem. This interpretation
parallels the account of the fall and rise of the vile leader prophesied by Daniel
11:21-28.
And in his estate shall stand up a vile person, to whom they shall not give the honour of the
kingdom: but he shall come in peaceably, and obtain the kingdom by flatteries. And with the arms of
a flood shall they be overflown from before him, and shall be broken; yea, also the prince of the
covenant.
And after the league made with him he shall work deceitfully: for he shall come up, and shall
become strong with a small people. He shall enter peaceably even upon the fattest places of the
province; and he shall do that which his fathers have not done, nor his fathers’ fathers; he shall
scatter among them the prey, and spoil, and riches: yea, and he shall forecast his devices against
the strong holds, even for a time.
And he shall stir up his power and his courage against the king of the south with a great army; and
the king of the south shall be stirred up to battle with a very great and mighty army; but he shall not
stand: for they shall forecast devices against him. Yea, they that feed of the portion of his meat
shall destroy him, and his army shall overflow: and many shall fall down slain. (FATAL WOUND)
And both these kings’ hearts shall be to do mischief, and they shall speak lies at one table; but i t
shall not prosper: for yet the end shall be at the time appointed.
Then shall he return into his land with great riches; and his heart shall be against the holy
covenant; and he shall do exploits, and return to his own land. (FATAL WOUND HEALED)
Daniel 11:29-45 continues on to describe the exploits of this leader who is said to be
destroyed in Daniel 11:26 in the context of the “time of the end” as Daniel 11:35, 40

and Daniel 12:1-4 reveal. The beast antichrist eventually establishes his palace in
Jerusalem before he is eventually destroyed by the Lord at his return in glory.
And some of them of understanding shall fall, to try them, and to purge, and to make them white,
even to the time of the end: because it is yet for a time appointed. And the king shall do according
to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak
marvellous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished: for
that that is determined shall be done. Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire
of women, nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all. But in his estate shall he
honour the God of forces: and a god whom his fathers knew not shall he honour with gold, an d
silver, and with precious stones, and pleasant things. Thus shall he do in the most strong holds with
a strange god, whom he shall acknowledge and increase with glory: and he shall cause them to rule
over many, and shall divide the land for gain. And at the time of the end shall the king of the south
push at him: and the king of the north shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and
with horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and
pass over. He shall enter also into the glorious land, and many countries shall be overthrown: but
these shall escape out of his hand, even Edom, and Moab, and the chief of the children of Ammon.
He shall stretch forth his hand also upon the countries: and the land o f Egypt shall not escape. But
he shall have power over the treasures of gold and of silver, and over all the precious things of
Egypt: and the Libyans and the Ethiopians shall be at his steps. But tidings out of the east and out of
the north shall trouble him: therefore he shall go forth with great fury to destroy, and utterly to make
away many. And he shall plant the tabernacles of his palace between the seas in the glorious
holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and none shall help him. And at that time shall
Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there
shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time:
and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the
book. And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting l ife, and
some to shame and everlasting contempt. And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the
firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever. But thou, O
Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and
fro, and knowledge shall be increased.
The chapter to follow will look further at how the beast antichrist will be revealed to
the world.

Chapter 4
The Restrainer and Antichrist’s Revealing
2 Thessalonians 2:3 tells us that there’s coming a specific point in the world’s future
that the man of sin, the son of perdition, or antichrist will be revealed.
Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away
first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; (2 Thessalonians 2:3)
Revealed here is the greek verb αποκαλυφθη from the root verb apokalupto. It’s
Strongs #601 meaning to take off the cover or disclose.
The revealing of antichrist is described in the next verse.
Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as
God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. (2 Thessalonians 2:4)
Antichrist will be revealed to the world as he proclaims and displays himself as the
Supreme Deity or Divinity in the central sanctuary of the temple at Jerusalem.
In 2 Thessalonians 2:5, Paul reminds the Thessalonians that he had already taught
them this same truth.
Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?
False teaching concerning “the restrainer” as the Holy Spirit
Contemporary pre-tribulation rapture teachings is that the Holy Spirit or “restrainer”
and restraining influence is taken out of the way or removed from the earth at the
time of the rapture of the church. They believe that once the restraining power of the
Holy Spirit is removed or taken out of the way, antichrist is free to be revealed to the
world. An in-depth analysis of the biblical text underlying this interpretation, however,
reveals it to be clearly false as the paragraphs to follow will explain.
For reference in examining the meaning of the words used in 2 Thessalonians 2:6-8
the biblical text is shown in both Greek and King James English with the
corresponding Strongs numbers for reference purposes.
2:6 And 2532 now 3568 ye know 1492 what withholdeth 2722 that he 846 might be
revealed 601 in 1722 his 1438 time. 2540

2:7 For 1063 the 3588 mystery 3466 of iniquity 458 doth already 2235 work: 1754 only 3440 he
who now letteth 2722, 737 will let, until 2193 he be taken 1096 out of 1537 the way. 3319
2:8 And 2532 then 5119 shall that Wicked 459 be revealed, 601 whom 3739 the 3588 Lord 2962
shall consume 355 with the 3588 spirit 4151 of his 848 mouth, 4750 and 2532 shall
destroy 2673 with the 3588 brightness 2015 of his 848 coming: 3952
These verses will be shown to teach that the antichrist is now restraining himself
from revealing himself until out of the midst of the mystery of iniquity antichrist is
born or comes into being. (reference 2 Thessalonians 2:7 in greek: μονον 3440 ο 3588
Antichrist is now restraining himself from revealing himself
Mystery is the greek word Strongs #3466 μυστηριον (musterion). It carries with it the
idea of silence imposed by the initiation of occult religious rites. This could be
indicative of the hidden underworld secrecy of the Luciferic occult orders which
conspire in the unseen spiritual world to accomplish their Lord Satan’s will in the
world. These are the evil forces of conspiracy whose purpose is to destroy true
Christianity and God’s eternal covenant with the great nation of Israel.
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of
God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and
blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world,
against spiritual wickedness in high places. (Ephesians 6:10 -12)
If you doubt that such evil occult orders exist in our world today, meditate upon the
practical implications of Ephesians 6:12 in the “real world” today for awhile and
examine the websites of occult orders influenced by Aliester Crowley’s Thelemic

teachings such as the Ordo Antichristianusilluminati or Ordo Templi Orientis.
The key words in 2 Thessalonians 2:6-8 are Strongs #2722 and #1096 translated
“taken out of the way” from the Greek root ginomai. Ginomai means “to be born“.
Strongs #2722 letteth in verse 7 is translated witholdeth in 2 Thessalonians 2:6.
And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.
Withholdeth and letteth used in both verses 6 and 7 are from the same Greek root
katecho. The Greek parsing of the verb indicates that both are present tense active
voice participles in the accusative case. The accusative case of this verb reveals that
this verb functions as the object of this verb’s action. The fact that the verb is in the
active voice indicates that the subject is the agent that performs the action expressed
in the verb. So in this case the subject of the verb, antichrist (not the Holy Spirit or
restrainer as many contemporary prophecy teachers teach) is performing the
action of restraining and is also the object of the restraining action.
The conclusion that the Holy Spirit isn’t performing the restraining action spoken of in
2 Thessalonians 2:6-8 is theologically consistent with the role of the Holy Spirit
required in saving the great number of people from all nations during the great
tribulation of Daniel’s 70 th week. Without the essential role of the Holy Spirit in
convicting of sin, revealing the truth of the gospel of Christ and quickening to spiritual
life the spiritually dead, none of the multitudes of all nations saved during great
tribulation could be converted.
In the following scriptures from the book of Revelation chapters 6-20 below there are
people fitting the biblical definition of the church present in the world during Daniel’s
70 th week:
Revelation 6:9-11 (souls, fellow servants and brethren slain for the word of God
and for the testimony which they held)
And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for
the word of God, and for the testimony which they held: 10And they cried with a loud voice, saying,
How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the
earth? 11And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they
should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants al so and their brethren, that should be
killed as they were, should be fulfilled.
Revelation 7:3-8 (144,000 servants of our God from all of Israel’s tribes sealed in
the forehead. Jewish people who receive Jesus Christ and become equal
members of his body, the church, according to Galatians 3:27-29)

Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God
in their foreheads. And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an
hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel. Of the tribe of Juda
were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Reuben were se aled twelve thousand. Of the tribe of
Gad were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Aser were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of
Nepthalim were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Manasses were sealed twelve thousand. Of
the tribe of Simeon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Levi were sealed twelve thousand.
Of the tribe of Issachar were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Zabulon were sealed twelve
thousand. Of the tribe of Joseph were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Benja min were sealed
twelve thousand.
Revelation 7:9-17 ( a great multitude, a large uncountable crowd from all nations
came out of “great tribulation“ (Revelation 7:14). These members of the body of
Christ, the church, are now comforted in God’s presence after suffering great
tribulation. This huge group includes Gentile believers, not just Jewish members
of the body of Christ, the church. This white robed multitude from all people
groups (Revelation 7:9) suffered physically at the hands of men for their
commitment to obey God’s word. (Revelation 6:9-11; 7:1))
And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar th e souls of them that were slain for
the word of God, and for the testimony which they held: And they cried with a loud voice, sa ying, How
long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the
earth? And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they
should rest yet for a little season, until their fellow servants also and their brethren, that should be
killed as they were, should be fulfilled. (Revelation 6:9 -11)
After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and
kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with
white robes, and palms in their hands; And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvat ion to our God
which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb. And all the angels stood round about the throne,
and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped
God, Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and
might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen. And one of the elders answered, saying unto me,
What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they? And I said unto him,
Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and
have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. Therefore are they
before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitt eth on the
throne shall dwell among them. They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the
sun light on them, nor any heat. For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them,
and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their
eyes. (Revelation 7:9-17)
Revelation 12:10-17 (The wrath of the devil or Satan’s war with the seed or
offspring of Israel’s Messiah, Jesus Christ, who keep the commandments of God
and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.)
Revelation 13:7,10 (Antichrist’s war of victory over the saints. Saints or hagios is
used 61 times in the New Testament referring to members of the church, the
body of Christ.)

Revelation 14:6-13 (The everlasting gospel is preached to all nations and
nationalities. Saints with the faith of Jesus who obey him exhorted to patience
during the reign of the beast.)
Revelation 17:6 (martyred saints of Jesus in Babylon the Great)
Revelation 18:4,24 (God’s people, the church, called out of Babylon the Great
before her destruction.)
Revelation 20:4 (faithful martyrs for Jesus beheaded by the beast Antichrist)
As the above scriptures reveal, the church, by it’s biblical definition, is on the earth
during the reign of Antichrist. The scriptures clearly teach that there are an
uncountable number of people fitting the biblical definition of the church present on
the earth while the Antichrist is at war with them. If you desire further biblical
teaching concerning the tribulation period, click here to read:
It’s a timeless truth that it’s only by God’s grace through faith that anyone is ever
saved. An innumerable number of people from all nations and nationalities will
become saved members of the body of Christ, the church, during the Antichrist’s
reign of terror. The Holy Spirit can’t be restrained during a time in which an
innumerable number of people from all people groups are being saved. It is only the
Spirit of God that convicts any Jew or Gentile of sin and brings new spiritual life to
them. He baptizes or places them into the one universal body of Christ, the church as
the scriptures below teach.
It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are
spirit, and they are life. (John 6:63)
Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the
Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. And when he is
come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: Of sin, because
they believe not on me; Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more; Of
judgment, because the prince of this world is judged. I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye
cannot bear them now. Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all
truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he
will shew you things to come. (John 16:7-13)
And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; Wherein in time past ye
walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the
spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: Among whom also we all had our
conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind;
and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others. But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great
love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with
Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in
heavenly places in Christ Jesus: That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his

grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and
that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. (Ephesians 2:1 -
9)
For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many,
are one body: so also is Christ. For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be
Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink in to one Spirit. (1
Corinthians 12:12-13)
Thus, the restrainer can’t be the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is essential in the work of
salvation and the life of the church. Based upon this theological truth and the proper
interpretation of scripture, 2 Thessalonians 2:6-8 should be interpreted to
communicate the following:
“the antichrist is now restraining himself from revealing himself”
In other words, with the knowledge that the wiles of the devil are subject to the
sovereign will of God, Paul is teaching the church as recorded in 2 Thessalonians 2:6-
8 that within the sovereign prophetic plan for the world’s future, there’s an underlying
Satanic current from within which antichrist will choose to reveal himself to the world.
When is the antichrist revealed?
According to 2 Thessalonians 2:3, the antichrist is revealed after a falling away
occurs.
Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away
first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
This apostasy will be discussed in the chapter to follow.

Chapter 5
The Apostasy and the Beast Goeth Into Perdition
Revelation 17:8 tells us that the beast will “go into perdition”. What is meant by that
statement? The verse states:
The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into
perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book
of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.
The word translated go in Revelation 17:8 is the greek infinitive hupago. The specific
word used here is upagein which is a verbal noun or infinitive. It’s present tense and
active voice. In infinitives, the tense indicates the type, not the time of action. The
present infinitive means that the action is ongoing or linear. It may occur in the past,
present or future depending on the context. Here the context is a vision of the future.
As a result, we can say that the vision concerns a change of condition that the beast
will be undergoing. The verse says that the beast shall go into perdition meaning
utter destruction or ruin. Is this utter destruction or ruin imply the final fate of the
beast in the lake of fire? This would be a logical conclusion since Revelation 19:20
and 20:10 teach that this is his final, future destiny.
And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before h im, with
which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his
image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone. (Revelation 19:20)
And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and
the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. (Revel ation 20:10)
To answer the question of what does it mean that the beast will “go into perdition”,
consider Revelation 17:11 in which the beast is said also to “goeth into perdition“.
And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of t he seven, and goeth into
perdition.
In Revelation 17:11, Goeth is the greek present, active, indicative verb upagei in the
3 rd person singular. The present tense indicates ongoing, repeated action on the part
of the subject, the beast.
If this verb was referring to the fact that the beast was destined to be destroyed
in the lake of fire in the future, the verb used here wouldn’t be present tense, but
future tense. The indicative mode indicates that the change of condition that the
beast was undergoing is now an actual fact and not a future, unrealized condition.

Thus, “goeth into perdition” indicates the transformation of one of the first 7 kings,
most likely the 7 th king, into the destructive 8 th king after his deadly wound described
in Revelation 13:3-4 and 13:11-14 is healed.
And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and
all the world wondered after the beast. And they worshipped the drag on which gave power unto the
beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war
with him? And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb,
and he spake as a dragon. And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth
the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the fi rst beast, whose deadly wound was
healed. And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in
the sight of men, And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which
he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should
make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.
Recall that Revelation 17:8 states:
The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into
perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the bo ok
of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.
It seems that the transformation which will occur in the future 8 th king is likely the
result his coming under the total possession of the evil spirit or demon king named
Apollyon (Greek) or Abaddon (Hebrew) meaning destroyer. Remember that
Revelation 17:8 teaches that “the beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall
ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition” or utter destruction.
And the angel said unto me, Wherefore didst thou marvel? I will tell thee the mystery of the woman,
and of the beast that carrieth her, which hath the seven heads and ten horns. The beast that thou
sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they
that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of li fe from the
foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is. (Revelation
17:7-8)
This spirit king is named in Revelation 9:11 where it teaches that this king ascends
rises or is born up out of the bottomless pit or abyss to possess this king.
And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew
tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon.
This interpretation is consistent with an analysis of the revealing of antichrist
described in 2 Thessalonians 2:3-8 below.
Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away
first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himsel f
above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God,
shewing himself that he is God. Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these
things? And now ye know what withholdeth that he might b e revealed in his time. For the mystery of
iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. And then

shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall
destroy with the brightness of his coming:
There is a point in the antichrist’s political career when his true political goals are
revealed. Rising to power as a slippery, smooth political magician with the support of
just a few allies, the future antichrist wages war he justifies in the name of peace
through making flattering, deceitful promises of increased global security and
economic growth to his believers.
Daniel 7:20-24 teach that early on this great visionary leader humbles 3 of the 10
nations which will eventually make up his 10 nation global empire.
And of the ten horns that were in his head, and of the other which came up, and before whom three
fell; even of that horn that had eyes, and a mouth that spake very great things, whose look was m ore
stout than his fellows. I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against
them; Until the Ancient of days came, and judgment was given to the saints of the most High; and
the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom. Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the
fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole
earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces. And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten
kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and
he shall subdue three kings.
At approximately the midpoint of his career, however, this future antichrist breaks the
peace covenant he originally confirmed between Israel and the nations and goes into
perdition or a destructive military campaign.
And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall
prosper, and practise, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people. And through his policy also
he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace
shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken
without hand. (Daniel 8:24-25)
And in his estate shall stand up a vile person, to whom they shall not give the honour of the
kingdom: but he shall come in peaceably, and obtain the kingdom by flatteries. And with the arms of
a flood shall they be overflown from before him, and shall be broken; yea, also the prince of the
covenant. And after the league made with him he shall work deceitfully: for he shall come u p, and
shall become strong with a small people. He shall enter peaceably even upon the fattest places of
the province; and he shall do that which his fathers have not done, nor his fathers’ fathers; he shall
scatter among them the prey, and spoil, and riches: yea, and he shall forecast his devices against
the strong holds, even for a time. (Daniel 11:21 -24)
And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of
the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with
a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined. And he sha ll confirm the covenant
with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation
to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the
consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate. (Daniel 9:26-27)
A possible scenario based upon one interpretation of Daniel 11:25-28 is that he’ll
engage the king of the south, Egypt, in battle. In this conflict, his kingdom is

apparently defeated where it receives the prophesied fatal wound of Revelation
13:3. A different scenario involving the fatal wound is the destruction of Babylon The
Great being the fatal wound and the resurrection of a President of the U.S., the 7 th
king, to the 666 position as President of the World’s 10 United Nations as the 8 th
king.
The first possible deadly wound scenario mentioned here would apparently follow a
deceitful meeting with the Egyptian government after which the future 666 returns to
his homeland with great financial resources and a heart set against destroying Israel
and God’s people.
And he shall stir up his power and his courage against the king of the south with a great army; and
the king of the south shall be stirred up to battle with a very great and mighty army; but he shall not
stand: for they shall forecast devices against him. 26Yea, they that feed of the portion of his meat
shall destroy him, and his army shall overflow: and many shall fall down slain. And both these kings’
hearts shall be to do mischief, and they shall speak lies at one table; but i t shall not prosper: for yet
the end shall be at the time appointed. Then shall he return into his land with great riches; and h is
heart shall be against the holy covenant; and he shall do exploits, and return to his own land. (Daniel
11:25-28)
He returns to war against the king of the south, Egypt, but he’s disheartened by the
opposing naval forces of Chittim. Chittim (Kittim) broadly refers to the Greeks and
Romans located on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea opposite Israel. This would
include the regions of southern Italy , Spain and other regions.
The apostasy
Upset by these naval forces, he angrily retreats foaming at the mouth in rage against
the holy covenant, Israel and the people of God. Having turned against God and his
people, “he shall even return, and have intelligence with them that forsake the holy
covenant”. This means that he distinguishes and marks or attends to people based
upon their willingness to apostasize and forsake the holy covenant or the true God to
unite with him.
For the ships of Chittim shall come against him: therefore he shall be grieved, and return, and have
indignation against the holy covenant: so shall he do; he shall even return, and have intelligence
with them that forsake the holy covenant. (Daniel 11:30)
This separation of those who will stand with him in apostaty or forsaking the holy
covenant of the true God from those who refuse apostasy parallels the prophecy of
Revelation 13:16-18 which states:
And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their
right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or
the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding
count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred

threescore and six.
This beast leader victoriously wages wars against the saints before coming to power
as the 8 th king, the ruler of the 4 th kingdom of Daniel 2 and 7. The saints are the true
believers making up the body or church of the Lord Jesus Christ. The beast antichrist
666 rules as global dictator over 10 nations for 42 months or 3 ½ years.
Then I would know the truth of the fourth beast, which was diverse from all the others, exceeding
dreadful, whose teeth were of iron, and his nails of brass; which devoured, br ake in pieces, and
stamped the residue with his feet; And of the ten horns that were in his head, and of the other which
came up, and before whom three fell; even of that horn that had eyes, and a mouth that spake very
great things, whose look was more stout than his fellows. I beheld, and the same horn made war
with the saints, and prevailed against them; Until the Ancient of days came, and judgment was given
to the saints of the most High; and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom. Thus he
said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all
kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces. And the
ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise : and another shall rise after them; and he
shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings. And he shall speak great words
against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and
laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time. But the
judgment shall sit, and they shall take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it unto the end.
And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom unde r the whole heaven, shall be
given to the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and al l
dominions shall serve and obey him. (Daniel 7:19-27)
And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast,
saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him? And there was given unto him
a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty
and two months. And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and
his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven. And it was given unto him to make war with the
saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and
nations. And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the
book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. If any man have an ear, let him hear.
He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth wit h the sword must be killed with
the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints. (Revelation 13:4 -10)
But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the
Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months. (Revelation 11:2)
Revelation 13:16-18 teaches that those refusing to worship the image of the beast
are killed. Only those that will receive the beast 666’s mark as a stamp of servitude
upon their right hand or in their forehead; or those that choose to use the name of
the beast or his number 666, will be entitled to receive the economic benefits of
participation in the global economy.
Having executed defiant Christians and destroying enemies nations through deceitful
promises of peace and security, he unites his apostate military against Israel and
surrounds Jerusalem with his forces as prophesied in Daniel 11:31. He profanes the
temple of God by stopping the daily sacrifice for sin. He then proceeds in accordance
with 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 to sit down in the temple in Jerusalem and proclaim to

the world that he is God.
And arms shall stand on his part, and they shall pollute the sanctuary of strength, and shall take
away the daily sacrifice, and they shall place the abomination that maketh desolate. (Daniel 11:31)
Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away
first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalt eth himself
above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God,
shewing himself that he is God.( 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4)
Antichrist’s Gentile armed forces will bring wrath upon apostate Israel for 42 months
according to Revelation 11:2.
But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the
Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months. (Revelation 11:2)
Many will be killed and survivors will be taken away as hostages as Jerusalem is
devastated by antichrist’s forces until the Lord Jesus Christ returns in glory to destroy
antichrist and his allied forces.
And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the de solation thereof is
nigh. Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst
of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto. For these be the days of
vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled. But woe unto them that are with child,
and to them that give suck, in those days! for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath
upon this people. And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away ca ptive into all
nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be
fulfilled. (Luke 21:21-24)
In addition, at some point before the beast 666 antichrist assumes the biblical role of
the 8 th king as the leader of the 4 th kingdom of Daniel 2 and 7; 10 nations destroy
Babylon the Great, the world’s preeminent superpower at that time. Babylon the
Great is mysteriously revealed to be the United States of America in the study
entitled: Mystery, Babylon The Great found on this site.
Revelation 17:16-17 and 18:8-10 show us that the scarlet colored beast consisting
of 10 kings is soon to be ruled by the beast 666 antichrist. These 10 nations hate
and suddenly destroy the U.S. in one hour on one day on behalf of the Lord in
vengeance for U.S. responsibility in the global execution of true believers in Christ
according to Revelation 17:6, 18:24 and 19:2. In my opinion, the U.S. will incur this
guilt because of her lead role in the development and implementation of the future
mark spoken of in Revelation 13:16.
And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and sha ll make
her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire. For God hath put in their
hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God
shall be fulfilled. (Revelation 17:16 -17)

Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be
utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her. And the kings of the earth, who
have committed fornication and lived deliciously with her, shall bewail her, and lament for her, when
they shall see the smoke of her burning, Standing af ar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas,
alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city! for in one hour is thy judgment come. (Revelation 18:8-
10)
And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of
Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration. (Revelation 17:6)
And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth.
(Revelation 18:24)
For true and righteous are his judgments: for he hath judged the great whore, which did corrupt the
earth with her fornication, and hath avenged the blood of his servants at her hand . (Revelation 19:2)
Revelation 17:12, 16-18 reveal that the scarlet colored beast with 7 heads and 10
horns is a prelude to the 4th and final world empire or kingdom of Daniel Chapters 2
and 7. The 10 kings of the kingdom of the scarlet colored beast are assimilated into
the kingdom of the 8 th king, antichrist, after they destroy the idolatrous whore woman
called Babylon the Great, the world’s preeminent superpower nation-state, the U.S.
After suddenly destroying America, the 10 nations, willingly united with the purpose
of serving under the governing authority of antichrist, offer themselves to be led by
the beast 666, antichrist in his 42 month reign of terror.
And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but
receive power as kings one hour with the beast. These have one mind, and shall give their power
and strength unto the beast. (Revelation 17:12)
And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make
her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire. For God hath put in their
hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God
shall be fulfilled. And the woman which thou sawest is that great city , which reigneth over the kings
of the earth. (Revelation 17:16-18)
How does this all end? In spite of the success of his 42 month rule, 666 will be
destroyed by the brightness of the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ as Christ and his
mighty saints and angels are unexpectedly revealed from heaven to consume
Antichrist and cast 666 into the lake of fire according to Zechariah 14:1-12;
Thessalonians 1:7-10, 2:8 and Revelation 19:17-21
